Makeup Focus: Seize Set. by KassandraLeigh Makeup Focus: Seize Set. by KassandraLeigh
Nothing all to official...but i realized id taken a quick close up of my makeup from the Seize set before work and thought "what the heck?!" n tossed it up.

Most of the gold all over the place is the last reminance of my edible powder from Urban Decay(*mours its loss*Wahhh) in Honey. So uh..if you licked me yesterday and tasted honey, thats why.

The eyeshadow is just a caked on mess of Jacquards Pearl Ex Powdered Craft Pigments *nods* With chapstick base

The blush under the cheeks is from Elf Cosmetics (>_> 1$ for anything makeup, pfh. They need to be hugged)Same for the lipgloss. The gloss is elf's candy pot

Now are the pigments you used safe for the eyes? And if not, have you ever had any problems putting them on your eyes? Thanks!

they are in fact non toxic. However, the company markets the pigments for crafting projects- and thusly did testing relevant for that field. Because it is not marketed for cosmetics, it never was tested for that criteria. However , i am not the first to think of using this stuff. Its been used by many of people and no one has had problems as far as my knowing. Myself , i dont realy have a problem either. Non toxic, doenst stain, doenst burn, etc

As for its actual application- i havent had any trouble. I usualy put a very sheer light base of chapstick on my eye lid and then apply like any other normal eyeshadow

It would be awesome. Id like to get a job at MAC or Sephora up at my mall , however i dont have much experience doing Other ppls makeup. Additionally, I have to use a cheaper alternative to makeup---craft pigments on myself because i realy just cant afford makeup. I dont mind taking that health risk but professionally , i couldnt imagine using that stuff on a client

Well, you can always learn. :)
Is there a danger with craft pigments, and what are they? Never heard of them.
Cheap is good. Create great looks for little money. That is something sought after in this world.

if your curiouse about application,do you mean what to use to put it all on?I use a few random winsor newton brushes from the local art store. Cheaper than real makeup bruhses, but often a better quality. You can also get them in any shape you like. Think of it also like this: If it will hold up and not currode when used to paintwith OIL lol, your makeup will feel like a soothing facial mask

rofl! yes I did, also, does applying the base help the colour to become more vibrant? And do you apply lighter hues first?

Yep adding chapstick on first def helps it look more vibrant. It stays better and more solid.Just be sure not to put on TOO much chapstick,or the eyeshadow will start to crease on thelid. Alternatively, if your doing vibrant colors, IE:Pink, you can use a smallll amount of lipstick or gloss to boost the shade.Halloween crayon makeup can work for this as well.

As for making parts lighter, you realy need to buy differant shades. If you apply more to the area, it will be more vibrant and true to the color of the eyeshadow pot/product. However adding less of it will make it blend into your skin tone. But it wont make a navy blue look like a sky blue

awsome, I just bought some urban decay today actually, and it came with a primer. I can totally tell the difference in blending and hue.
I still want to try the pigments you use, do they go on like a normal eyeshadow? Are they trickey to use or do they wear off throughout the day?
(sorry for all the questions, I can start sending notes if you'd prefer?)

I realy cant afford to pick up real makeup very often but iv drewled over thir potion--good to hear it actualy works!

The pigments I usualy use a damp paintbrush to apply, dryer for a ligher applcation, wetter for a more opaque application. I have used the little sponges often, but i dnt feel like they give you a lot of control so im not a fan of them.

As for thier sticking power...?OFH They win! Dont realy come off untill you take them off later in the night. Usualy the fastest way to get it off is to rub some vasiline over your face, then wipe it all off with a dry bathroom tissue. Then wash your face with what ever you like to get the vasiline feeling off LoL

lol!
only problem with it is its hard to get off small remnants of your eyeshadow later (almost like it stains) even with make up remover, but a good face wash will do it.

do you sugguest a particular set? I was looking online, is 28 a good price for a set of them?
