Road trip!
My brother rented a house in South Lake Tahoe for the 4th of July weekend. Of course I'm going! It'll be a serious relative run.
I'm leaving tomorrow morning (Friday) at the crack of dawn and returning Monday. My main plan is to hopefully miss the insane traffic snarls that always happen on major holidays.
One thing I'm looking forward to is my grandniece paintings. I really want to see what she's done. I am bringing a portfolio book of my drawings. Want to see what she thinks of my stuff.
Unfortunately, the trip means no drawings this week. Also, I'm leaving my laptop at home, so I won't be able to reply to any messages. Sorry y'all...

It’s amazing how such a simple thing as trying to return a DVD can become a major misadventure…
When I was planning this drawing I got stumped as to how to work with it. So I asked for help. Lots of help. I asked several other DA-ists for their version of the same drawing. I provided the background photo::origin()/pre00/080e/th/pre/i/2011/072/2/f/returning_the_dvd___wall_by_kaspired-d3blk98.jpg)
and the ink drawing of Leela::origin()/pre00/7320/th/pre/i/2011/072/4/4/returning_the_dvd___figure_by_kaspired-d3blkdt.jpg)
and told them “Go for it”.
I went back to pastels simply because it’s been forever since I’ve done anything with them. Now we wait for the other versions…
