Progressive Harmony Contest

We all bring various perspectives and talents to deviantART. Now I bring you a chance to pool our talents to make a difference in the world.

*What: Make a card for a child in need of simply a reason to smile.

These cards will be going to the children and families of the Phoenix Childrens Hospital (PCH)
in an effort to provide hope and healing.. The PCH provides care for all types of illnesses
from Cancer, to Cerebral Palsy, to ADHD.. The children staying there attend for surgeries and
treatment, community events, or a place to spend their final days... You can find more information about the PCH here [link]

*How: You may use any medium. I will be printing on aprox half the size of a normal 8.5 x 11 paper. I will shrink all to fit so try to Aim for that size so it still looks good.

*To Submit: All entries must be submitted as a deviation _{simply because it's easier for me to keep track of them.} Please send a note titled "CONTEST" with a link to your card deviation. Also, please indicate if you'd like me to include your name and/or location on the back. (It's always fun to get mail from other states or countries)

*Prize: There will either be a grand prize winner or a 1st-3rd place depending on # of enteries. Either way the prize will be great, all entries will be featured in a journal and will be delivered to a child, and in the end we all win because we would have had a chance to use our talents to really make a difference in the life of a struggling child and their family.

When: Deadline: March 15, 2006. Two months should give you plenty of time to make something inspirational

Q. What will the cards look like?
A. I will print the exact card you made onto photo paper from my own supplies and make no changes.

Q. Can I address my card to a specific child?
A. No, we are not allowed to use specific names.

Q. I am a poet and do not have much experience with visual poetry, what can I do?
A. No worries, if you write a poem, I will put it on a nice background and make it look good and send you a copy for your apporval.

Q. Do the kids know we are making these cards for them?
A. Nope, the hospital staff does though.

Q. Can I submit to scraps instead of gallery?
A. Yep.

Q. Wait, so do I mail you something?
A. Nope, look at the submission details above.

Q. I have a great idea for a picture but I am having trouble writing words, Can you help?
A. Yep, show me the pic and I can help you think of words, or attach my own inspirational message for you.
