Sangaste Loss by karstART Sangaste Loss by karstART
The Castle of Sangaste, Estonia.

Sangaste Castle is an almost exact replica of Windsor Castle in Great Britain. It was designed in 1874 and built 18791881. According to legend, it owes its existence to an insult the local count Friedrich Georg Magnus von Berg received in his youth. When attempting to wed a young English lady, her father objected to giving his daughter away to "some Russian savage".
