Ten years of Improvement(?)
• • • • • • • • • • • •

So yes, I've jumped in the bandwagon finally with my own "years of improvement"... I had SO MANY IMAGES it was hard to pick certain things... so I just picked my favorites and what was different in my old galleries...
these images were chosen and hand picked from nearly two-thousand artworks, done from 1998-2007.

Also includes a commentary, for how I felt about the art and the styles I was going for... ENJOY MY PAIN WITH MEE~~~ hehe.

I find these things very encouraging. It's always nice to see how mad-skilled artists start out pretty much at the same level as everyone else. Makes you tell yourself you can also get better.

hehe, I'm nowhere near "mad-skilled" as you put it... ^^
I'm still improving, myself!
BUT YES! As the cliche says, practice makes perfect! But I like to throw in: draw what you are worst at drawing first, that way you can perfect the easier stuff later.
cheers!

hehehe, thanks, a LOT of females play though! xD;;
and unfortuately that was back in 2004, or whatnot... I've since then released myself of it'sclasp since late 2006 - constant raiding and elitests made me generally dislike the game... ^^ ;;

1999 we were obsessed with Digimon, Slayers, and Final Fantasy (I do remember Pokemon as well... oh lord) because my drawings/doodles from us all seem to have all three of those anime in them... LOL! *rapes* Come back to Tinton Falls! :P I am joking of course!

I think what fascinates me the most out of ten years is the coloring. Lord has it changed and become more beautiful!

HAHAHAH Isn't it sad~? xD
I loved our random doodlage... and our weird DBZ obsession with the Ginyuu Force... >< ;;
[that photo still cracks me up!]

ouuu hunnie... I would love to see you do something like this as well. ^^
Your art has also blossomed over the past years! ::hopes::

Damn girl, you even had a good start! o_O; I have to say, I really love seeing the progression of other artists.

Man, I wish my last ten years were this progressive for me. Still feel like I'm lacking alot, (if only I too had painter *drool* lol) but I am atleast trying to make up for lost time this year. ^^;

I think I started watching you from 2004? I forget, but I know it's been at least a few years now. I seriously am very impressed with what you produce now, you're group shots are some of the most detailed and colorful ones I've seen on here. Keep up up the good stuff Karniz! I'll be watching you, lol =P

Yeah, I found you through the Viewtiful Joe fanart work you did when I was a Viewtiful Joe fan fag ( STILL AM, MIND YOU) , so we really didn't have any personal connection until I met your sister through the Gyakuten RP. Hahaha.

nah, quit just very recently... was an old-time raider who got burnt out of the game, and unfortunately ran out of things to do in the Outlands that wasn't a 10-25 man raiding group... /le-sigh. I just dont like the whole "GOTTA PLAY ON SCHEDULE!" that a raidgroup forces you to do... since I wanted to play casually... heh.
Age of Conan... I got my radar on that now. mwahahahah~

Yeah, I hear ya. Some raid guilds are pretty strict, and that just takes the fun out of the game. With the expansion though, the level cap will be raised to 80....so there should be some new stuff to do.

As for Age of Conan, yeah, that looks pretty cool. Have you looked into Warhammer? I'm in the beta now, and it's pretty similar to WoW, but not so much that it is a clone. It is still pretty unique.

who knows, I do want to keep playing so I might revive the account just to do new content [the new areas look AMAZING, and destructible buildings~!? that means FUN, hehe!] so who knows if Blizzard with be coaxing me back... hehe, at least they don't get rid of your characters~ that made me really happy.

yeah, Warhammer looked really interesting, I will be giving that a trial once it comes out [or harrass the open beta registration form? hehehe.] but AoC is just absolutely stunning looking... Too many MMO's, not enough time nor money... hehe.

For sure. I didn't know about the destructible buildings actually....Speaking of which, have you ever tried City of Heroes/Villains? I think they have a trial going on now, but if not and you wanted to try it, I can hook you up. If you do start playing, come over to the Virtue server and I can show you the ropes.

unfortuantely I did already try it out, and I'm not really a fan... hehe, mainly with the classes... i'm too used to being a caster in games... and I'm really not that big into "superhero" type games, I like mine to be fantasy... ^^ ;;
I did dabble in Everquest 2 though, and holycow it's really deep... a little overwhelming. hehe.

This is so cool, and one of the few things that truly inspire me to continue with art. Thanks for sharing, this was fun going through that with you!

Also... on that recent Terra and Setzer pic, how the HELL did you get her sleeves and dress to look so AWESOME?!

@ Sleeves + Dress: It took a helluva lotta dots and shiny sparkly magic to do... yep...

[I'm serious about the dots... it's all just multicolored dots... xD]
