Commission of an original character for Rio/Kitewing.

I was approached by another table artist at Anime Next with a commission request! I was so excited and happy to do it! Rio/Kitewing has an AMAZING character, Rio, and I'm so happy that I got a chance to illustrate him! He is GORGEOUS! /blush

Done with natural media, god I love working with Dr. Marin Dyes... ^^

This is a commission - the image is not for use by anyone other than the artist and the commissioneer.

He reminds me of Jack from Wild ARMS, if I remember right! Love the texture on the coat, and the little pet with the tonfa is so cute!

Your dye work is amazing! All the little shiny details in his jacket are just... spectacular.

eeee... shiny? hahahaha, it's actually lack of color! It's just the white in the jacket...
I should post as "how I color: dyes!" to my tutorials... shouldn't I? XD

Sheesh, you make it sound so simple!

Yeah, the word 'dye' just sounds scary because it makes me think of, like... hair dying or t-shirt dying and I'm just thinking, "How can you color with that?!" But your work with it is amazing so... it'd be great to see how you did it. x-x

Well, it is a dye so unlike watercolors [re-wet the area and dab it off with a paper towel] you can't reverse what you did, or re-work what you want to alter! But unlike watercolors the color is SO MUCH MORE vibrant, and more interesting.

and I most definitally will!
Now to think of an image subject...
