next week we learn more about this world, or maybe not the world, but its leaders.

I scrapped this world from 'Le Vite', it's no longer included in the story, but it's going to be a different story. This way I can add more details and spend more time on it.

"lasciate ogni speranza, voi ch'entrate"
Remember the final page of chapter 1? I made a reference there to Dante's Divina Commedia, I don't know if anyone guessed it or not, but that doesn't really matter. The bottom panel was red with bars, a reference to both Dante's inferno and the prison Amaya escaped from, but also Hiroshi's ignorance and denial. The middle panel would be purgatory, he now knows the truth, but how does he cope with it? That, we learn during this chapter. And yeah, I decided to introduce the city of Dis (which is also described in the Divina Commedia) in this chapter. There's 7 pages of Dis, and after that we'll continue with the story.
There are so many references to Italian literature in my comic :')

Note: I've only ever read Inferno, I want to read Purgatory and Heaven as well, but I decided I didn't know enough about Biblical stories enough to continue, since it's a very religious piece of literature and there are far too many references for me to understand at the moment.

In the world of Dis, there are many mythological creatures, the ones in this page everyone probably already knows. There are harpies and a hydra. I also plan on including all of the five rivers, so the river in this page would be the Styx, the Lethe, Acheron, Cocytus and Phlegeton come together in this river close to the city of Dis.

I'm not going to submit these pages to the manga category, because I'm trying to find a style I like better, a more realistic style for Dis.
