A BIG thankyou to Kaz-D (http://kaz-d.deviantart.com/) for my first Daily Deviation recommendation!
Kaz-D is the founder of the awesome Abstract and Surreal group (http://abstract-and-surreal.deviantart.com/).
I was away from DeviantArt for a week due to work committments, and when I come back I've got my first DD! I'm going to have to go away more often :-)
I'm slightly addicted to water droplet photography, so if it's not the sort of work you want to see, you might have to bear with me for a little while... =D
I'm really only writing this so that it doesn't get to March and my page still shows a Christmas message...
I *am* pretty happy about cracking the 1,000 milestone though =D
I'm also continually in awe of the quality of some of the work you people are producing; it's really quite humbling (and of course inspiring!) to see what can be achieved.
I went duck shooting with a Canon (40D) on the weekend. Had a blast.
Trying to get shots of ducks, geese and Ibis (or birds of any kind for that matter) in flight is always "interesting". I really need to practice more.
On an unrelated topic, driving to work this morning a Kangaroo decided he liked the look of my headlights and jumped out in front of me. I anchored it and he tried to swerve but fell in front of the car and disappeared from my view, and I hit him at about 2km/h. Thankfully it wasn't hard enough to brush the dust off the numberplate and he managed to get up and bounce off. I'm sure he did the same as me though and pulled ove
I got the flu last Friday. Bummer. Sitting around doing nothing doesn't agree with me.
Got out today though and took some more macro shots. Yay! How is it that flies can be so annoying at a distance, but can be so interesting up close?
