Thank you! Actually it's a lot simpler than that. The original is in colour. I photoshopped the image, used desaturate and some of the other filters to creat this black and white version.

I keep thinking these black and white ones are pencil drawings but do I have it right -- they are digital converstions of your paintings? No matter what they are they look great. :)

Thanks for your interest. The black and white is the result of using the desaturate application on photoshop. This converts any colour image, into a black and white image.

the black and white tones make the image seem dark and foreboding, yet the contrasts really make everything jump out at you.

Hi Jen, thanks for explaining...I think everyone sees a painting in a different way. Some see mystery, some see forboding...I think this one has a lot of deapth, it looks 3D which is always a cool effect. :) :heart:
