The Empress

“The deepest experience of the creator is feminine, for it is experience of receiving and bearing.”
~ Rainer Maria Rilke quotes (Austro-German lyric poet, 1875-1926)

In the traditional symbolism of the Tarot, The Empress is often identified with femininity, creativity, and even fertility. I have often thought of The Empress as a sort-of mystical Mother Nature. Here I have shown her as a lush, uninhibited angel who is proud to be female and life-giving. Like Eve prior to the fall, she is unashamed of her body and her natural grace. She is the Muse that lives deep within all of us.

It isn't MUCH of an outfit, lol, but she's dancing, so hopefully she won't get cold! :giggle: In any event, I did enjoy this one. I was on quite a roll with these for a while! :D

Thank you, as always, for the lovely comment. I hope you are well! I've been MIA since "The Lovers" took my computer hostage!

Aww, your most welcome! You have been on a roll! whoo hoo! I have been trying to get a Magic Wars image created and it keeps changing on me. I think I have finally settled on one so hopefully I can get it done. weeeee! ;P

The real world has been handing me fruit loops lately. Had a huge ant invasion over the weekend out in my shop! boo! :bug: They were everywhere and we had to take everything out to clear the dead bodies and get all the equip put back. I am so sore, I can barely walk. haha Then I had to wear my plumbers hat as one of the pipes under my kitchen sink decided to burst! boo! I've been playing catch up all day today. haha I hope your doing better now that the Lovers have decided to cooperate and behave for you! Look forward to seeing your new card images! :icondragonnod1:

Really like the way you did her . . . clothes? :XD: They fit in well with her wings  Very beautiful!

Lol... LACK of clothes might be a better way of putting it, lol... but the important bits are covered, so what the hey? :D And thanks. She kind of created herself. The card represents creativity, so I guess that is fitting!
