The Chariot

“But at my back I always hear, Time's winged chariot hurrying near; And yonder all before us lie, Deserts of vast eternity...”
~ Andrew Marvel

The Chariot represents every human's personal struggle to control the opposing forces constantly at war in one's life. The two horses in the image -- one white and one black -- symbolize the constant, opposing forces of light and dark that we must try to master in our lives. Like a charioteer trying to master a team of horses, every person must come to terms with both good and evil forces and impulses that are always tugging at the reins we are trying to master. The Chariot represents choices, motion, contradictions, struggles, and -- ultimately -- the power to confront each of these possibilities with our own hands.

Rendered in Poser Pro 2012. Extensive material editing done on virtually all textures. Postwork in Photoshop.

Thanks so much, as always! I completely ripped apart the skin texture from the ground up to include SSS nodes and to maximize my IDL effects. I  Poser Pro 2012!!! And, who knew, I REALLY LIKED rendering horses! I usually am not good with non-human models, but these were SO much fun to play with. Note to self... more horses soon!!

Your most welcome sweetie! Cool, I have been doing the same with my characters. I am really enjoying PP 2012 as well! weeeee! Horses are so much fun to render. I love working with them. I'm still learning all the different breeds, but I just think they are such noble and beautiful creatures. Yea! I'm glad your enjoying working with them too! I need to do an all horse render one of these days. hehe I have the image in my head and just need to get it out there. Hope all is going well for you. The weather finally cooled down this weekend and we turned the heat on. Yea! About time. haha Big hugs sweetie! :iconcat-glompplz:
