22, living in Austin, trying to pay my bills while finding a real job. Just graduated in spring 2011 with my BFA, and despite hunting for months, I still can't find a good job. Waiting tables for now to pay the bills. Eventually, I'd like to go back for my masters so I can teach at the collegiate level. For now, it's hand-to-mouth but that's life and we all have to take it one day at a time.

Graduated with a BFA in Drawing, moved to Austin TX, got a place and a job waiting tables... Three rats now: GusGus, Tweak, and Butters. No entry-level work to be found. Weird. I have only a few weeks left in this semester, and then only one more until I graduate. I'm working on some pieces to get my senior show going. I've fallen in love with clay figurative sculpture. And I'm almost done with my Peace Corps application.Over winter break, I'll post all my work from the semester. I'm working on frames, so I'll be able to photograph them in presentable fashion. That, and I just reinstalled Photoshop on my fresh box, so I'll be able to correct all those damn lens and color distortions.What else is new.... I studied abroad in Greece for 5 weeks this summer. Best 5 weeks of my entire life. I got a tat...

One year later...

Seriously? It's been a year since I wrote on here? Wow... Anyway, I'm almost done with my Junior year. Got engaged to my high school boyfriend of 6 years. Going to Greece this summer to study in Athens. Changed my major to Drawing because I hated animation. Fell in love with Taylor Swift. And colored pencils. And color in general. That's what happens when you keep art students working in black and white for two whole years.I have 4 studios, and I'm loving it. Except now, with finals coming up, I have 10 projects. 4 down, 6 to go. Hopefully I'll complete one tonight. Then I'll post all my work from this semester sometime this ...
