Morning
Yesterday morning i was walking near the pond, while bokehs are alive, while moon is falling down and sun is waking up.
While my cat Mozart was following me.
In fact Mozart always folllow me everywhere i go, like a dog, he stops when i stop, he walks when i walk.

Btw i'm sad for the category as it enters as well as domesticated animals than plants. ;p

This piece can be bought on my ETSY SHOP, various items avalaible, postcards, prints, posters, magnets...

I thank you all in advance for all the faves! :thanks:

I've always created in my soul,
in my alive and living dreams.
I've a melancholical soul...
i wander away and here.
maybe.
maybe you'll cross my path,
one day, or another.

Hmm, I really love both of these photographs, but to me, they don't fit together as they are (I think this is called a diptych?) I am no photography pro, so if you take issue with any of this, feel free to disregard it

A few things that I think could have helped:
If there were blades of grass in the foreground of the right side, with the little dew drops, I think it would have helped create something in common between the images. Maybe even if that sparkling dew effect was produced elsewhere in the cat image, they may feel like they mesh better to me.

Also, they might feel like they fit together better if the two images were swapped, so the cat was on the far left. I am not sure about it, but worth mentioning.

Another thing that may have helped the images mesh better would be a different depth of focus for the right image. If some of the grasses in the background had less focus and the cat's face sharper, I think that it would have helped. Then the blades of grass (like the long one in front of the cat's little nose) would have been more obviously in the foreground, and the background grasses would have sort of duplicated those in the background of the left image.

Boy, I hope I don't sound like a raving lunatic when I am trying to explain this grass.... grass..... grass....

Thanx for your critics.

For your suggestions.
Dear i can't help it if nature have not put bokehs everywhere ;p
Nor for the grass behind my kitty, he moves a lot, so taking a good shot was not easy ;p

about the swap i've made it, but i disliked it.

i did not had the time torearrange the herb because my kitty was moving ;p

nature and animals are wild ;p

you know i'm not either a photograph ;p

 Kare.

I understand all of these things :) I, too, have a kitty... and boy, I tell you. I know they do not sit still long. You have to take what you can get when it comes to pictures.

When it comes to critique, I usually just put in every single thing I think about and take it for granted that the artist will just ignore what I say if it does not make sense, or they disagree. :)

I am not a professional photographer (or even an amateur one, to be sure!) so I am just going off of my experience as a painter, where I can put bokeh where ever I want and sit the kitty still and position it however I want XD

Sadly, real life does not sit still like a painting!

so do i, i'm not really if i'm even an amateur photographer :giggle:

This is a very interesting mix of pictures plus a kitten always makes a photo much better !!
The brightness of the colours and the green/orange contrast is great. Yet I have a few comments, that imho would make the picture even better. On the left the DOF (Depth of Focus) is really good and I like its overall dreamy/abstract feeling. But on the right image, the focus throws me off. If you had focused on the cat's face, or ideally its eye, instead of the grass you'd probably also have a better DOF and the image would be much more intense and interesting.

I'm no expert on photography but it takes no special learning to discuss this fine image. First you see the cat looking like it's up to no good, I read in the comment his name is Mozart. You see the dew on the grass, it looks like such a good morning, the kind of fresh summer one would always want to wake up to.

The image is made up of two pieces put together; the left shows us the setting, the other what is going on there. The green colours are to die for. It almost resembles commercial products, but this is the real deal as opposed to something produced and remade to death.

The cat resembles Jones, the ship cat in Ridley Scott's 'ALIEN', which is fun trivia. Even if you're not a cat fan like me, you can appriciate this heartwarming image as is.

This reviewer always find it hard to deal with the rating stars of dA, but there can be no debate on the perfectness of this image.

 I'm not really sure if i understand all what you said.
what does that mean : "First you see the cat looking like it's up to no good".
the same with : "The green colours are to die for. It almost resembles commercial products, but this is the real deal as opposed to something produced and remade to death."
what do you mean exactly?

First, I meant the cat was the first thing I noticed when I saw the picture as a thumbnail. I thought the cat looked about ready to jump at something so I said it was up to no good.

Then I tried to say I loved the green colours. As for the commercial talk, I meant such colourful works are often seen in advertising but there it is often retouched images, made brighter and more colourful to give people good vibes. This photo looked natural and uplifting as it was, so I wanted to say I was glad it wasn't a commercial photo. I'm glad you asked because I want to be clear about what I mean...

This would have been perfect if the focus on the right picture had been on more the cat and less on the grass. As it is now the cat seems a little blurry and for me that's a too big of a contrast to the perfect crispness of the grass on the left. It would have been lovely if that fresh feeling had carried over more. =)

That's true kitty is a bit too blurry ;p
