SOPA yeah right

SOPA, the internet users stopped it right? So? Its seems that last June the RIAA and many noteable ISPs in the USA signed an agreement to do just exactly what SOPA was all about between them starting in the second quarter of this year.

I suggest that anyone thats remotely interested in the privacy issues here read the following Ars Technica article

arstechnica.com/tech-policy/ne…

Its quite eye opening the way these people have decided to work, to say the least. Of course being in the UK I'm hardly unaware of the government wanting to spy on our every move; here being the highest density of CCTV systems in the whole of europe and the last Labour government as a departing shot was one of the first governments to sign the ACTA bill.

Never trust governments. In time, they all eventually fail.:D

I knew this would happen - if you cannot get through the front.....

Thought Barrack was suppose to be a man of change for the better?

Ah well.

As Jessie J would say "Its all about the money, money, money"

Did anyone think that Corporate would not try to find a way? New tyrants of the world.

When the people stop the legislation, the companies decide to 'voluntarily' patrol the net. Cept this likely smacks against Net Neutrality, which is still being fought. Oh, they're definitely not out of the woods yet.

Hm. Hadn't heard about this one. And my ISP is on the list. It's important to follow up your link with this one, telling you how to fight the system: [link] Still, it sucks. I already hate Verizon because of their corporate bullshit and ineptitude, so maybe this is the final nudge I need to get a new ISP.
