Combination of the word flare and coyote, Flare + Coyote = Flarote

Age: 60 in captivity, 25 - 30 in the wild

Locomotion: Quadrupedal

Size: 1,2 meters

Appearance: They look like any other Canidae, but have a ruffer stone-like texture on their upper backs. They have spikes sticking out from their back. Their lower parts come in different shades of red, orange, and yellow. They are also capable of setting their backs on fire.

Colors: Flarotes come in dark brown, gray, or black colors on their upper part, while the lower parts come in warm colors like red, orange, or yellow. The colors can change depending on how deep they are in the Fire kingdom. The redder they appear means that they are in the middle of the Fire kingdom, and so on. Their pups only come in ashy gray color, the reason is because it is easier to hide from danger.

Diet: Carnivore

Habitat: They live in the Fire kingdom. They prefer open warm places where they can run and hunt freely without being disturbed.

Problems: They can be a huge problem for travelers and traders. Farmers also have a problem with these creatures, because they attack and kill the domesticated animals.

Domestication: Only 30% of the Flarotes are domesticated. The domesticated Flarotes are used for fighting, hunting, guarding, etc.

Subspecies: There is a creature in the Fire kingdom that is believed to be related to the Flarotes, and it is called Tarkal, though they haven't been seen for a long time.
