Darkvern

Name: Darkvern

Combination of the word Dark and Wyvern. Wyverns are dragons with two wings as front limbs and two legs.

Age: 500-1200 in the wild and captivity.

Locomotion: Flight and Quadrupedal, on the ground they move around on all four limbs.

Size: 6 - 7 meters in height, 15 - 17 in length.

Appearance: They have the same appearance as the average Wyvern. Their primary color is Black and dark gray, at rare times they can be born with silver scales. The head comes in cold colors, like purple, blue, etc. The wing membrane is the same color as the head. They have a long tail with many spikes protruding from it, which they can use as a weapon. They have sharp claws on their feet and wing thumbs ( They got two pairs of thumbs on each wing ), which they can use for pinning down prey/enemy or hold onto any surface.

Colors: The Primary colors are black and Dark Gray. The head comes in cold colors like Purple and blue. The membrane is the same color as the head. At rare times, a Darkvern can be born with light silver color ( Their version of albinism ).

Diet: Carnivore

Habitat: Dark Kingdom's mountains and high cliffs.

Problems: Darkverns are intelligent creatures, and they can be extremely aggressive towards anyone who dares treat them like some common pet. Because if someone starts to treat them like a dum pet, and expects them to like it and purr, well the person doing the petting will be extremely hurt.

Domestication: Only 10 % are domesticated while the rest fly freely. The Domesticated ones are also allowed to live in the wild. Only the ones that have studied, read, and learned enough of the Darkverns are allowed to ride the dragons, not just some rando who knows nothing about the creature. Plus the riders treat the Darkverns as the intelligent beings they are, and not some pet.

Fact: Darkverns don't breathe fire or any other kind of magical breathing power. Same thing with the Lightverns.
