Based on: Moths and other night bugs, and ravens.

Occupation: Scroll keeper worker and student back in her kingdom. Member of the Rover gang.

Backstories/Personality

Personality: Somewhat shy. Smart. Kind. Naive. Cool headed. Ambitious. Perfectionist. Hard-working. And clever.

Dahlia grew up in the Dark Kingdom to parents who expected her to achieve a lot after learning that young Dahlia was a gifted child, so they took the opportunity and enrolled Dahlia in a mini school with other gifted youngsters.

Dahlia didn't have anything against this because she saw this as a chance to learn new things.

Dahlia's childhood was filled with reading books, learning about her dark elements, and studying dark magic and runes. She never went out to play with other kids her age. She only talked and socialized with other gifted kids, getting along with them more than other regular kids.

Dahlia focused on her studies, not noticing that time flew by. She was constantly being pressured by her parents to be the best. She saw it as a normal thing in life.

One day, Pyro, Tempest, Destan, Verice, Peria, and Ironfang came to the Dark Kingdom as guests, Dahlia was instructed to show the group around the Kingdom, since she had studied alot and knew more than the average dark elemental about the Kingdom, so she was perfect for the job.

Days went on as the group stayed in the Dark Kingdom, learning new things and adventuring into uncharted areas. Dahlia joined the group in those adventures because well you need someone from that specific kingdom to show which areas of the land were safe, what not to do, etc.

Dahlia grew close to the group, which was surprising to her since she thought she didn't need friends and only needed acquaintances in her life. It felt strange but good to have people who wanted to be friends with her.

Before the group left the Dark Kingdom, Peria talked with and told Dahlia that she should join them on their adventures. Dahlia at first denied this offer. But after some thinking, she realized she did feel trapped in her mundane lifestyle, she already studied and read every scroll and book in the Kingdom, and it did feel nice to be part of a group and have real friends for once.

So, after a long and hard discussion with her parents, her parents allowed her to join the group and leave, but in return, she would write and document whatever she had learned on her journey in her grimoire, which Dahlia happily agreed to do.

Soon she joined the Rover team and left her kingdom.

Solo Verse (Legion of Elementals): Same as in Normal verse, minus the lords of nature and GNU stuff.

Notes

• In human AU, Dahlia is Afro-French (Nigerian-French). Her fashion style is the Preppy style. She's a student, works at the library, and has a vlog channel.

• In beastverse, she goes by the name Nightriss, which is just a cover name. She's the only one in the group who uses a cover name because she doesn't want her folks back at home to know about her whereabouts.

• If Pyro's not around, if the group splits up, or if the situation is getting dire, she's in charge of leading the group.

• She doesn't like it when people think you can use magic to solve everything, because magic is complicated and it takes energy from the user depending on the spell.

• She's the levelheaded one in the group, making sure to not panic or stress because it will cause her to lose some control of her dark element.

• Whenever Ironfang is working out, she pretends to read her grimoire nearby, but in reality, she watches him.

• She likes Ironfang, and after some adventures, dangerous close calls, and long deep talks, the Rover gang persuades both her and Ironfang to admit their feelings for each other. They ended up opening up to each other about how they felt, after which they got together.

• The reason I named her Dahlia is because it's a pretty name. Plus, the flower comes in different colors, one of which comes in dark pink, purple, and red coloring, which the color palette for Dahlia's design comes from.

• She read tons of books in her kingdom's library and studied about her kingdom's culture, flora, fauna, and the dark element's powers. So, there's nothing left in her Kingdom she can speed read.

• She likes to experiment with spells, her dark element, and runes in hopes of creating new kinds of powers and spells.

• Dahlia and Iris like to challenge each other's intellect by speed-reading, discussing subjects with each other to see who knows more, and solving complex puzzles.
