After a chat with my father, I'm now thinking my overall problem isn't so much laziness as it is just not having "fun" with drawing and writing :/ Don't get me wrong, I still WANT to draw and write, both as a hobby and for a living, and I think I have great potential in both. The core issue it seems to me is that it's hard to have fun with drawing and writing when you're not good at them (at least that's the case for me) but getting good at either one is a rather long climb, so it creates a vicious cycle where I just get bummed out of trying to do them because I'm not good which only further prevents me from being good at them. Self-defeating psychology is so great, amiright? :XD:

If only it's possible to work for an animation/video game company by just making up ideas and leading its development, which I guess is what a director does. But it ain't easy at all becoming a director lol

I know what you mean. I think it might have to do with stress from college as well.

Yeah lol College and such places are real stress inducers and that just automatically kills any fun :XD: Although the sad thing is, college is probably the best way for me to achieve the ability to draw and write since I otherwise can't learn easily (stupid learning disability...), and even if not, a degree is kind of required for any animation and video game studio to accept you. Unfortunately, I've screwed myself in that department by choosing the wrong classes in the first semester of college and screwing up the second semester -_-* And this tuition fee pretty much prevents me from returning, let alone going to a better college

I wish you the best of luck with your own college endeavors, though ^_^
