Sesshomaru and Kagome

First impression: <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/t/t…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title="Thumbs Up"/> very impressive! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/n/n…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title="Nod"/>

Atmosphere: Yes....you can sense the mood of this piece is romantic/seductive type and you get that across. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Wink)"/> It really drags the viewer in as romance is a strong emotion trigger. Plus it well definitely attract the fan girls (me being one) <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/m/m…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title="Meow :3"/>

Colors: They fallow the original work and work well with each other. The colors are well blended (your main good point is the blending).

Contrast: <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/p/p…" width="18" height="20" alt="" title="Hmm. Evil plotting in progress."/> my favorite part.
First off: the blurry-ness! As we talked before and I suggested that either you could blend out the rest of the lines or make them clear. It seems you blurred some. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/a/a…" width="19" height="19" alt="" title="Sweating a little..."/> Now that really works against the blurry/misty type of clouds you have with the moon. I would try making the lines a bit darker or bolder and see how that works. It well be a completely different piece. Right now the blurry effect on the lines where the clothes and the faces are it looks unfinished... And the fact that you even put a blurry touch to the hair definitely works against the the blurry outlines. If the hair was not so blurry/soft/furry then the lines would be fine as they are. Not to mention: the fur on Sesshy's shoulder is blurry too <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/x/x…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title="XD"/> So much blurry stuff!
So: either get rid of the blurry effect in the hair or on the out lines. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
Also: On Kagome's shirt you have outlined the wrinkles with a defined line....that is very distracting compared to the rest of the lines. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/a/a…" width="19" height="19" alt="" title="Sweating a little..."/>
One problem I had: I tried to find the light source....did not work. At first I thought I knew by the shadows in his hand but then it goes the other way when we look at the hair and then Kagome does not even have any strong shadows to indicate where the light source is for her. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title="hmm"/> Which is weird as you are awesome with light sources. I don't know if you fixed this a little too much and got rid of some things or what but I could tell the light source's direction before.
The hand is awesome! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/d/d…" width="21" height="15" alt="" title="I am a dummy!"/> But fix the pinkie....his claw sticks off his pinkie. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/x/x…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title="XD"/> We don't want that. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/x/x…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title="XD"/>
Background is super and does not need anything done with it. I see that the clothes were fixed. <img class="avatar" src="a.deviantart.net/avatars/t/h/t…" alt="" title="thumbsupplz"/>

Originality: there would be no comment here as this is fan art. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/m/m…" width="43" height="15" alt="" title="Okay... Moving on now..."/> <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

Technique: your tendency to blur the hair is obvious here. I am falling in love with the way you did the background. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/> As said before: the blur effect is starting to dominate...<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/a/a…" width="19" height="19" alt="" title="Sweating a little..."/> It shows up pretty much everywhere in the piece. You should only use it main parts so it can give you a leg up. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/let…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Lick)"/> Original and general artistic techniques can be seen in this...it's a good combo. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

Theme: <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/> Well we know what that is here. I well say that you have captured this well used pose/setting! Not everyone can achieve this without making a mess out of it. Not to mention the fact that his eyes are dead on! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/e/e…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Eek)"/>
They really draw the viewer in.

Extra: Try using more "hard" brush strokes. Or other brush types besides the ones that are dominant here. The tilt of his head would hide some off the chin but not so much. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/n/n…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title="No, I disagree!"/> Right now the distance from the red marking on his cheek to the chin is too little. It gives him the look of a very thin boy....and he is not that. Have you thought about giving the moon a little glow around the edges?

Exposure: If the main focus is just Sesshomaru then I would make Kagome less "bright." If the main focus is both of them then make Sesshy a bit brighter as right now: Sesshy does capture the eye but because Kagome is so bright, she seems to be the main focus. And poor Sesshy seems to be the second main subject of the piece. If that is what you wanted then well done. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/c/c…" width="20" height="20" alt="" title="Clap"/>

Focusing: If you do want to use that blurry touch to your advantage then: make the edges of the piece darker or add one single shadow over them (maybe even change the background) to add a "more" beddy type situation. Something to give it a dreamy touch. Right now it's floating in between. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="19" height="19" alt="" title="Shrug"/>

Character: you have captured the characters in there normal settings.....so good job. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>
