Retirement Plans

It was a dark and rainy day. Just about anywhere else the sun would be high in the sky without a cloud in it. Not on Tol Barad, though. On Tol Barad, it was always dark. But it wasn’t just the rain that made it so; the island itself gave off an air of unpleasantness. From the ruined fortress on the main island to the spider infested forest on the peninsula, Tol Barad had one of the most unfriendly atmospheres on all of Azeroth. From the moment you set foot through the portal in either Stormwind, main capital of the Alliance, or Orgrimmar, main capital of the Horde, it was impossible to mistake the dark aura that permeated from the islan

Awakened Dreamers: Conflicting Emotions

"I'd like to thank you all for coming here tonight." A vulpine dreamkeeper said, loud enough for everyone to hear. They'd rented an old theatre that few people still used for their yearly meeting. All twenty-three members of A.D. were in attendance. Though, Kazsh noticed, there was an extra chair at his table. No doubt for the former twenty-fourth member, the one who was now all over the news as "Zapbird." For the hundred-seventeenth time (he actually kept track), Kazsh sighed with regret. He put his head on the table. It was uncomfortable in his suit, but he didn't care. He didn't care about anything. He blamed himself for what happened, an

"All things must come to an end. Even we Spirits are not forever. Although I will one day leave this world, I can still pass on what I am to the next generation of Spirits." The rains raged and the winds howled. Lightning tore the sky asunder even as thunder screeched in its wake. Such was the force of the storm that the even mighty oak tree swayed and groaned in protest. The storm seemed annoyed by the lowly tree's objections. A bolt of lighting struck a large fir tree, felling it before the oak. The message in the strike was clear; the storm would not be deterred from its path. Until its fury was fully sated, nothing was safe- -A fact th

"Hey, do you remember the day we met?" Vyndil asked. He'd stopped drinking for the moment. He figured when you began thinking how best to roast a gnome was a sign you'd had a enough, especially when it turns out the gnome was actually a tauren. "It's hard for a death knight to forget the day he was defeated by a lone fire mage. I still don't know how you beat. If you were a frost mage, that would be one thing, they're well equipped for battlegrounds, but a fire mage is another story." Necro sighed at the memory and looked down into his flagon of mead. It still bothered him slightly. "Of course, we both know that's a different story today. But

"What a long, strange trip it's been." Vyndil, a blood elf mage, said over a jug of bourbon. He was sitting in the middle of Dalaran sharing a drink with Necro, a human death knight. On any other occasion this would be a strange sight, but not on this week. This week was a city wide party to celebrate the Feast of Winter Veil. Unfortunately, due to the internal dispute among the hosts of the party, the Blazemoon family, the actual feasting won't be until the second half of the party. The issue was the same as every year. Originally, only denizens of Dalaran had been allowed to join in the festivities, but over the years word of the party bega

Kazsh was in a serious rut with his life. Everyday was the same. He woke up, got dressed, went to work at the 24 hour bar/diner as the night barkeep, served normal customers and members of A.D. alike, passed messages to other members, leave work at dawn, take the long way home, go to bed and lie awake thinking when the next A.D. was exposed until his morbid thoughts lulled him to sleep. The reptilian dreamkeeper sighed heavily and leaned against the counter. "I see that chronic depression of yours is kicking in again," an avian dreamkeeper commented over his fermentae. Chocolate Eggs and Horde Raids

It was a nice day in spring. Children in the city were playing with the Nobelgarden Rabbits, chasing them and looking for the eggs they hid. Heroes were also enjoying the days of relaxation, searching for larger versions of the eggs the children searched for. It was all a big game, where collecting enough shells from the eggs rewarded sweets from the patrons who oversaw the World Event. The small town of Goldshire was particularly crowded with heroes of all races of the Alliance. However, as with all celebrations, there was always one who just didn't have the spirit. In this case it was the worgen warrior who sat in the inn. Axe resting again

Christmas Epiphany

Christmas Epiphany

Merry Christmas, everybody! That said, I've had a revelation about Christmas literally a moment ago. I honestly don't care about receiving gifts anymore. I have money now, if I want something I'll just buy it for myself. Christmas is now more about getting gifts for others. The reason for this isn't the act of giving, though. I just want to see people's reactions to what I got them, whether it's the Magic: The Gathering cards for my dad or the veggie chips I bought for my brother (his entire list was, and I quote, "vegan treats") I just want to see how the react to what I got them. I just know my sister is going to completely use up her $25

Happy Pollute the Air with a Butt-Ton of Fireworks Day! Seriously, it was so humid that the smoke from the fireworks didn't rise and blocked the entire second half of the fireworks. Which really sucks because that meant we were actually inside the cloud of smoke. I honestly regret going to see the fireworks this year. Just needed to get this off my chest.

The government is insane

The government is insane

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results each time. So taking into consideration SOPA has resurfaced, how else would you describe the government? Here's a link to the info on the latest SOPA attempt --> http://www.slate.com/blogs/future_tense/2014/03/10/sopa_copyright_voluntary_agreements_hollywood_lobbyists_are_like_exes_who.html Here's a link to a petition to stop SOPA. Again. --> https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/stop-sopa-2014/q0Vkk0Zr Please distribute this info so others can get in the loop and fight SOPA for the third time.
