Whoa looks like I haven't posted anything on here for a couple years. Well as far as journal entries. Been kinda under the radar working on a few projects that have not seen the light of day. BUT at this time I am looking to take on a few commissions. Seriously interested parties only please. Shoot me an email and we will discuss pricing. Pricing depends on what you want drawn. Obviously a bust sketch will cost less than say a full bodied mech in a cityscape.

Anyway, email me at artist (at) yadartworks (dot) com for commissions!

So it's been a long time since I updated anything here or adding any art. I've had some life changes recently which has me rethinking where I want to go in life. It's been a busy and distracting year, this whole 2013 thing. However, I have been thinking about taking commissions. Any thoughts from anyone still watching on if there is an interest in getting commissions from me?

I would probably set up a price list and rules and what not on what you get for what price and all that... If there is interest.

Ok so Otakon is only a couple weeks away. Seems I'll be having a table there this year. not us how I'll do, but hey I'm gonna give it the old college try. I've not done a convention nearing this size in a very long time. Gonna be quite the under taking. But I will have good friends with me so there will be that. If anyone that still keeps tabs on me is going feel free to stop by, I'm gonna try to print up the free character I did for Fantasy Games Umlimited's Villians and Vigilanties and hand them out. That is if I have the time. It seems these days I have projects on my table that I work on but can't tell anyone till they are published hahaha! Then by that time I forget to post them cause they are no longer new.

As some of you may know I was slated to be the guest artist at MTAC Omega.  I did the design for their mascot this year as you can see in my gallery.  I think it turned out well, T-shirt came out nice. The promotional set up was AMAZING! I had never thought that I would see my art that huge! Banner outside of Hotel Anyways for those of you that looked for me and couldn't find me, I wasn't there most of the convention. I got to the show on Saturday evening around 7pm due to a funeral I had to attend for my Grand Father.  Some of you may have found my table (where my girl was running things) and picked something up. Thank you for that even though I was not there. I know its always kinda iffy picking something up when the actual artist isn't there, but I think I had a good reason. Actually for anyone that stopped by to pick something up thank you very much. I had some special prints I made up for MTAC of the mascot, still have a few left.

It was good seeing everyone that I got to see this past MTAC and hopefully I can catch up with anyone that I didn't get to see soon!

Alright so I have been away from here for a year.  Been a long strange year at that.  Last post was around Nekocon 2010, now Nekocon 2011 has just past.  I have met a lot of new people, some old friends have moved away, some new friends were born (literally!). I've not stopped drawing... it's just work has taken me away from anything I could post up here at the time.  And when I could I didn't have the time to. I hope you all understand that.

Recently I got a few freelance gigs with Fantasy Games Unlimited. They can be found here: www.fantasygamesunlimited.net  I had the privilege of working with my Old friend John Adams on "The Centerville Incident" and "The Power of One" adventures for them.  Two of the projects that while allowing me to do some cool stuff did not allow me to post any of it till after printing.

I'm getting back into it the swing of things though with a new line of badges for sale at conventions as well as some sweet new prints once I get the ideas out of my head and onto some digital paper.  Keep an eye out, I'll be loading a few things on here in the coming weeks as well as reloading my website which has been missing for about a year.

It's a whole new world on the horizon!

Ok so its been a verrrry long time since a journal entry.  Last convention of the year for me is coming up.  Nekocon.  I am headed out at the beginning of November for Virginia Beach!  ... though not for the beach itself.  I will see the inside of a hotel, convention center and probably a lot of fast food joints.  BUT there WILL be drinking.. oh yes.  And I will see people I only get to see once or twice a year.  Oh yeah and I'll have a table there with my buds at AngryVikingPress (angryvikingpress.com).  I'll also have some plushies with me from my big Sis Sonnie (stubbychubby.org) to sell for her new baby fund.  So come on by and see us!

In other news, I have been playing far too much City of Heroes.  I absolutely LOVE the side kicking system.  Allowing you to play along side your friends regardless of level is ingenious!  Anyways.. thats about it.

It's been a while since I updated on here.... So not too much going on in my neck of the woods.  Just working on a graphic novel and some prints.  Hope to have a few new prints by AWA (Anime Weekend Atlanta).  AWA is on September 17 - 19 2010, at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel and Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, Georgia. Website here: Anime Weekend Atlanta

Had some fun at Otakon hanging with my boys at  Angry Viking.  Though I gotta say the hanging out and National Aquarium was bunches more fun than the con itself. Just something about hanging out at an aquarium and seeing a bunch of critters that there would no way in hell be normal for me to see, its just a lot of fun.

So I bought Starcraft 2 the other weekend (Collectors Edition).  Kinda sucks that I can't play it on my Mac Pro though, just cause I happen to have one of the three video cards that have no drivers for it.  It's not even that the video card is incompatible or not up to snuff either.  I mean if that was it, that would be fine.  But noooo its cause neither Apple, nor nVidia, nor Blizzard will get off their butts to fix the issue.  I mean if I boot windows on my computer it would work fine, but I would rather keep it in OS X.  Plus I would have to actually go out and buy Windows.  Anyways, I'm done venting.  Been playing on my girl's laptop.  Starcraft 2 has been a fun game thus far and I see some replay value goin on here with the achievements and multiplayer.

Now back to the grind for me.

Ok so it has been quite a few months since I have posted up anything on here.  Sorry for the neglect.  Recently I have been working on a long term project that will hopefully come out well... and come out soon.  Well soon as I can finish it.

MTAC and Kawaiikon both went well.  Lots of fun had at both (especially Kawaii, since it's IN Hawaii!).  It was good to be guest of honor at MTAC again, this time with the crew of Angry Viking Press.  This year was quite eventful as there was heavy rain and flooding on Sunday of the con.  So much so that we were stuck for an extra day.  We were lucky though as our rooms were at the convention hotel which on a hill.  Many of my friends were not so lucky as they were flooded into their hotels and lost their cars and such.  Which does suck, but the high points of the convention were just as great as the low points.  Kinda odd how that works.

Recently I also attended OMGcon.  That was a fun convention as well.  We celebrated Emily Dejesus' birthday, its kinda becoming a tradition to drive up there for it. There was much fun chatting with Bob and Em as well as Rikki and Tavi.  However, I learned that SUgoicon this year is on the same dates as Nekocon.. damn it! So I guess I have to drop Sugoi this year.  Hopefully it will not be booted out of its normal Halloween slot the year after.

Seems our next con is Otakon!  Wooo gonna be first time there.

In other news, I have upgraded to a Intel Mac as well as an awesome Cintiqu tablet!

OK so April is upon us.  not much new goin on but a few conventions loom in the short distance.  First will be Kawaiikon! Yes a convention in Hawaii... ok yeah so its not how one would ideally goto Hawaii, but it's still HAWAII! I'll be out there for a total of a week.  Should be fun.  A week after that I'll be headed to MTAC.  I will be there with a contingent of Angry Viking Press.  Fun will be had!  It will be cool, so if your in HAwaii during the April 16-18, come on by!  And if your in Nashville around April 30-May 2 stop on by there and see us!

Also it has been decided even though I do not have a table that I will be heading out for Otakon.  Never been there, I hear it is huge!

Ok, so New Years has come and gone.  I was a good one, had friends over to my new house and we had a big dinner.  Not much else on that front other than crusin along.

Ohayocon 10 has just come and gone.  That was good as well.  None of the drama like what happened the previous year.  There is of course probably someone out there that is disgruntled.  But that can't be helped, can't please everyone.  All in all I think things went pretty smooth seems like the attendees liked everything as well.  Did so many rounds on that floor though, my legs were killing me at night.

Got to hang out with the Angry Viking crew, and that was fun.  Also got to meet a few of the people that I never seen before in the Warcrack guild I play in.  That was cool to as we of the Krakenmaw of Stormwind invaded the Warcraft meet up and took it over.  Which isn't really hard since my girl was running it and she too is in our guild.  Did some sketchin and some drinkin, all in all a good time was had.  Plans were made for future conventions and it looks like I WILL be attending KawaiiKon this year.  However for the first time since well ever, I will be skipping Anime Central.

Also I'll be looking around to see if there are any of the mascots I have done for cons this past year that I have not posted up seeing as it is the next year I think it's safe to put them up now.

Hope everyone had a good beginning of the year and (if you went) good Ohayocon

Over ten years ago Robert Dejesus :iconbanzchan: popped onto the convention scene.  In that time he has given a hell of a lot to everyone involved.  Many a convention has benefit from the generosity of not only him but his wife Emily as well.  They have given so much of their time and energy to everyone.  Recently they have had to cancel some of their scheduled shows due to personal reasons.  Which culminates to Bob's sister loosing her 10 year fight with cancer.  With Bob and Emily doing so much fr the community, it would be great to see the community give them a bit back.  So please if you can help out a bit, it would be greatly appreciated.  Just click on the image to find out how at the special Ohayocon Help Bob and Em page.

Up next is OMGcon where hopefully everything for the Ohayocon Alley will be hammered out.  Once that happens we should be good to go for opening reg up for that.

Well MTAC has come, gone and well I passed out for what felt like a week afterwards.  The Concourse (or Artist Alley) went well I believe.  There were really no complaints.  No one had to be removed.  There was a slight bit of confusion as some guest tables were put into the Concourse and they didn't use them, so it looked like we had an empty table.  But there was really nothing to be done about that since it was a guest table.  Notorious MSG www.notoriousmsg.com/ went off very well as did the Slants theslants.com/ as far as concerts at conventions.  I had never heard a crowd cheer for an encore at a convention before but they did that night!  Other than that there was much after hours fun had and I got to know more of the awesome guys at Angry Viking Press www.angryvikingpress.com/ .  And of course hanging out with my friend Jim sadfatduck.deviantart.com/ a bit more.

All in all it went over well I think.

I was stupid enough to click on a freakin link sent out in my comments.  So no something has gotten into my system and is posting on random other peoples accounts... i have no idea what these comments are that have popped up that I seem to be sending.  Someone posted me up as a spammer but I'm not.. just some crappy thing that seems to have happened to my account.  I have since changed my password.  And uhmm DON'T click the link!

EDIT:  It's a Deviant Art thing not a my computer thing.  I operate off of Mac OSX.

UPDATE!  Thanks admins and other people in charge for realizing I am not a spammer!! You guys are Awesome!

OK so I went to one that wasn't listed yet.  My friends over at Stubby Chubby  needed to do what we term as a "Hit and Run" con.  Basically we head out Friday night (since I have to work 9-5 Monday-Friday) and we do a Saturday/Sunday Set-up at the con making it home before I have to work on Monday morning.  So we hit Anime South with about 2 hours notice before we left.  Needless to say, I had to book a hotel right quick.

ANyways.. time to prep for Ohayocon !

Well, hope everyone is having a nice Holiday.  This isn't a "Hey I'm stopping for the Holidays" post, just sending out a happy holiday to everyone I know from here.  Obviously no more cons for me this year.  As you can tell with the pages being posted up, I have been working on something, no script, no nothing, just a scene floating in my head.  I'll post up as pages get to doneness.  It's possible that I will print a version with sound FXs for one of the cons I am attending next year.  And once the New Year hits I will post up my 2009 convention calendar!

Anyways... Happy Holidays, I hope you all enjoy and will keep enjoying my artworks all through out this next year and beyond!
