Trucidocynodon riograndensis
Detail of a WIP reconstruction of a distant relative of mammals that I am preparing for my book. Trucidocynodon riograndensis, an ecteniniid cynodont from the Late Triassic Santa Maria Formation in Brazil.

Eudimorphodon head
WIP. For my upcoming book. A case for “lips” in pterosaurs, using as an example one of my favorite pterosaurs: Eudimorphodon  ranzii from the Late Triassic Zorzino Formation of Italy.

Herrerasaurus
‪Portrait of Herrerasaurus ischigualastensis. Herrerasaurs are a small group of early dinosaurs OR dinosauriforms that are the sister taxon to dinosaurs. The crest I reconstructed this one with is supposed to be a structure homologous with dinosaur filaments #paleoart #dinosaurs‬

Pterosaur sketches
‪Im often thinking about how pterosaurs would perch on thin branches, so today’s (very quick) warmup sketch is all about that! Also, some extra anurognathids, because you should always have more anurognathids!

Qianosuchus mixtus
WIP. Way before there were spinosaurids, there was Qianosuchus, a Middle Triassic pseudosuchian (croc-line archosaurs) of about 3 m in length and with long limbs, which lived on the coast of the Guanling Formation, China. It was a semiaquatic predator.

Just popping in to let you know of my continuing admiration for your work Kana-hebi! (I'd normally do so under the actual illustrations, but respect your reasons for removing that option).:) (Smile)
