Shadow Steps

I am truly in love with this picture. I was in Rochester, taking pictures of George Eastman's house (yes, I'm a photo freak), and these are some stairs in the back of his garden. (For those of you who don't know, George Eastman founded Kodak and invented film <3333).

The shot was compositionally pleasing originally, but somewhat bland. It lacked a certain something. I'm experimenting with all sorts of things in the darkroom, and one of my favorite things to do is pull tissue paper over the photo paper and then expose it. This is the effect you get - sort of soft and spooky... like you're looking through a dream or a haze.
