Christmas is a special day in the Arvichian calendar that takes place on the 25th December every year. Parents give their children a gift presented in a thing known as "wraping paper", which is falsely claimed to have been delivered by a fat, jolly old man dressed in blood red and ashen white called Santa Claus, who rides through the night sky on a magical blue-nosed equine in order to visit children as they lie asleep in bed, whereupon he gives them a very special surprise. Other than kids, few people care much about the special day, but it's an occasion going back to at least the time of the unicorns. Some surviving records -- combined with oral tradition -- suggest that the day once had other connotations, possibly being linked with an obscure old pagan religion. Similar things have been suggested of the other special days of Hannukah and Kwanzaa, which coincidentally take place around the same time of year, but which are generally less commonly recognized and whose
