Mario Kart Blue Shell

Part of a set of Xmas tree/rear-view mirror ornaments (Super Mushroom can be seen here [link] ) and belonging to a series of Nintendo-themed sculptures recreated in a more realistic manner, which started with the Realistic Piranha Plant (seen here: [link] ) and its baby, and ending with a Baby Metroid in formaldehyde, which will be available in a few months.

It is a blue shell, as seen (and feared/craved depending on your position) in Mario Kart. I used clay and acrylics and the final piece is slightly over an inch in size, not counting wingspan.
