I am brand new to this, and have a great deal to learn. If you see something which needs clarification, Constructive criticism and suggestions are appreciated.
Fight Commission Info.
I have decided to offer fight story commissions.
(DEC 12 2013) *NOTE: I am offering a discount price for a time, $15 USD. Win, lose or draw. The object is to enjoy the fight!
I admit that this is a rather unusual commission arrangement: I am offering My OC as the fighter your character would go up against.
*NOTE!* - Kajm and all concepts related to him are copyright to myself. Also note, pricing is negotiable, I am still learning all this!
I have been creating the reality and characters around Kajm for a very long time. Pretty much right from the start, Kajm has been a fighter, and so I have worked a great deal at figuring out how to write fight scenes. I may not know the terminology behind many fighting styles, but I believe I have gotten a very good idea of body movement. I enjoy writing these things, and am reasonably good at describing a fight. And I will also add, that each new story will add to my knowledge base and make me a more effective writer.
Of course I go looking for these things, and have found quite a few artists out there who have great fighting characters. I often wonder what a fight between that character and Kajm might be like. And, as he is an immortal, and capable of wandering between all the varied realities out there, I have to figure that at some point, he might have encountered some of them...
As I have noted in Kajm’s bio fav.me/d2oqml , he has, across the course of his long life, experienced fluctuations in his power levels, strength, and healing / stamina. This has allowed him from time to time to choose opponents capable of matching him, if not beating him, in physical combat. Whether it is a simple sparring match, a knock-down-drag-out, or a fight to the death.
Kajm can be and is often an honorable fighter, but his immense healing factors, along with the ability to fight through intense pain, allow him to seek out more vicious fights.
More info on Kajm can be found in his fight profile:
Kajm's Fight Commission BioBelow you will find the Bio information for my main character, Kajm, relative to the Fight Commissions I am offering.
Please note that this is a work in progress. I have much to learn about doing commissions and some portions of the Bio may change over time.
What I propose, then, is this:
For the purposes of these stories, I wish these to be completely physical fights.
Bring your proposal for a fight to me. The character, their bio, any stories of combat which you have on them. The setting in which an encounter with my character would take place. What their thinking towards my character would be.
We would discuss in email what you wish to see happen, what your character is willing to / might do, to win the fight. What your limitations are as to what they would attempt.
It will be my task to understand your character and portray them to the best of my ability.
Important: I wish to try and write these stories from the other characters POV. I think I can do this, and the writing will give me more experience in doing so. Having said that, I believe I still have to have Kajm's POV related in the story, as well.
Win, lose, draw, this can be your choice, or decided by a dice roll generator.
Also as noted in Kajm’s bio: he can at times, become extremely excited in the course of the fight. There are definite limits as to how far that can go. As I have said, Kajm is honorable, in that he will never descend to such extents as rape, either during or after, nor will he allow himself to be subjected to the same.
It should be clear to whomever chooses to commission me, that their character is likely not going to be aware that he has no such intentions- but their character won’t know that, will they? And such should be factored into the character’s thinking by both the commissioner and myself.
It is of course to your discretion as to how he comports himself in the fight.
Both Kajm and myself have many reasons why he will NOT go to, or be subjected to, certain sexual extremes. If your fighter is of the mindset that seeks such things, I cannot help you.
I wish to state for the record, that I am new at this, and therefore the rates guidelines may change as I come to a better understanding of what I am doing.
I also note that my own stories run, at a minimum, well over 4000 words. I am not sure what I could even do with a 2500-3000 word story, so please make clear at the start if you're totally adamant about a word count, or if you won't mind it going over. I write better if I'm not shooting to cram stuff in at a particular point.
I believe I can provide you a pretty good story, especially if I have a lot of enjoyment writing it.
Commissions start at $20 for a simple, one character story with 2000-3000 words, usually I shoot for 2500. Beyond that a story will run you $5 for every 500 words above 3000, so $10 for 1000 words, but I charge in increments of $5.
So in short:
$10 for a 2500 word (approx.) story
+$5 for every 1000 words beyond 3000
+$10 for an additional main character, and the accompanying 1000 words needed (adds to the base of 3000)
+$10 for complex changes to subject material/plot points
+$10 for rush writing
Wait time for commissions is typically a month or two, though it can be as long as six.
The character involved must be of your own creation.
Acceptable means of payment would be either by PayPal or money order.
All stories which I write are copyright to myself (commissioner’s character is, obviously, copyright to themselves). I ask that the commissioner please ask my permission before re-posting a piece to another site.
Please, put a lot of thought into this before you come to me! Writing a story to the best of my ability is mind-intensive, and exhausting- as it should be for anyone who wants to do the best they can!
Here are the first pieces I have accomplished:
Kajm Vs SariaTwo hulking males blocked Saria's access to the Kiburi. She had been summoned to the council chambers on this dry, dusty morning, scant days into the arid season- only to find the gates guarded, an unheralded situation, as the Kiburi was (ostensibly, she thought) always open to all. Today, however, there seemed no one about- especially not females, who would normally be prevalent in the village square at this hour of the day.
The lioness stood regally, firm in her resolve despite the circumstances which had led to this day. "I Will be allowed to enter."
The guards did not move. Each easily had a hundred pounds on her; each was a seasoned fighter.
And she was a pariah. Yet both wore an expression which clearly stated: we'd rather be anywhere else, than facing you.
Saria smiled, said smile becoming ever more toothy as the two began to shift uncomfortably-
Her faced turned stony as she turned to face the approaching Council chieftain, Makso, who was followed closely by the
Kajm Vs. LeahSmashed rabbit was unappetizing.
Leah stared down at her hoped for snack, disgusted and angry. She hadn't intended to strike so hard. The rabbit stared accusingly back- or one eye did. The other was looking out the back of it's skull.
"Damn you, Lee!" The dragon roared, leaping into the air. The diminutive red male had taken over her life. Bad enough that he had beaten her- her, Leah, the strongest dragon in the region!- but then to rape her, take her for his mate-
She pounded the air savagely with her wings, almost as if she blamed it, also, for her situation. Ever since Lee had come back... she had tried to forget that day, hoped that the events surrounding it had gone unnoticed by other dragons. Lee was, at least, a decent lover, and sometimes displayed real feeling towards her.
But anger over her humiliation at his hands simmered, and her prey had suffered for it. The rabbit should have been a snack, but she'd pulped it with one blow. If only it hadn't looked like it had been la
Thanks Kajm... now you gave me a purpose to use well my money 83
So... if not the other way, i will sure consider this one
Yet i'm interested in commissioning you... unless you don't want, of course, or have already other things to do.
Thanks for the input! That may draw a bit more attention.
I think it would help your cause if you had a sample of your work so people would know what they're getting into.
Other than that, it seems very planned out. :>
Actually, there is a link to two stories in my gallery, contained in the second text file. One of them is a fight story I wrote for another person's character, long before the idea of doing commission work came along.
