So, in order to at least add a bit of content until the actual projects are done, here are some practice sketches I did some weeks ago. They are all based on photos I found around online, and with the exception of the last one and sorta the third one, I tried replicating the pose and clothes as much as possible. First picture is directly based on the photo, but for the others, I tried using a random character for each, while still adapting the pose and clothing. The third one I obviously changed the outfit to the character's, while the last one is more original, since I only based the outfit on the picture, but the pose is new.
DISCLAIMER: Since most of these are eye-referenced, I take no credit for the original pictures; these were done only as practice and I post these only as a show of progress in such.

How long have you been on DeviantArt?
While I've technically only been a member of dA for about four years, I've actually lurked the site for a few years before that.
- What does your username mean?
It's actually just a nickname my friends in high school gave me. A shortened corruption of my last name. Where they got the idea, I'll never know...
Describe yourself in three words.
Shy, quirky, creative.
Are you left or right handed?
What was your first deviation?
What is your favourite type of art to create?
I like illustrations in general. While it's easier for me to draw with a pencil, digital illustrations are easier for me to give a more finished look, with colors and shading and all that.
If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
Realistic art. Because I just can't do realistic drawings. XD
What was your first favourite?
What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Mostly illustrations and fanart, usually anime-styled. It helped with the inspirations.
Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
Hmm...I can't say I have any particular favorite artist. I admire a lot of the artists I've watched, for all the awesome works they've created, and how they've inspired me to try and improve to be as good as them.
If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
Ooh, this is a difficult one.
I guess there are a few of my friends here who would be cool to meet in real life. No, I won't say names. ^_^
How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
For the most part, many of the people I've met here have inspired both my art-style and writing style in some way or form. Some of them have even encouraged me to try things I didn't before.
What are your preferred tools to create art?
I go with the classic pencil and paper, but for my digital art, a small Wacom Bamboo will suffice. Usually work using PaintTool SAI and Photoshop in that case.
What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
Weirdly enough, during class. Sure, it usually means my attention is not where it's supposed to be, but most of my ideas have begun in the middle of class!
What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
I guess one of my favorite memories was getting some of my artwork noticed by one of the artists I followed. Knowing such a good artist like my art gave me a boost of confidence that day. ^_^
And now, it's time for me to go back and work on my commissions.

Now, once again it seems I've been unable to actually give a proper update over here.
Yeah, I'm not very good at this. Not helped by the fact my semester was going on at the time, and then exams, and the club projects (which I still failed to accomplish ) and now I'm on a job hunt.
However, I will make no excuses; I have had a bit of time here and there, but my drive to draw has been...either redirected at separate projects and other drawings (which I may post later today, or maybe later this week), or at being distracted by video games. I know I've made promises, and I know I've taken way more time to fulfill them than any sane person would wait for, and for that I do wish to apologize. m(_ _)m
In other related news...some of you may have noticed I took down all of my TG-related content. Due to IRL reasons, and after a lot of consideration these past few days, I have decided to take them down. It does pain me, since I do enjoy making them, and I was glad a lot of people enjoyed them. But, in the long run this'll probably be for the best...
That said...I don't plan to stop making them, oh no. ^^
Far from it, I still intend to finish those requests at one point, as well as other occasional ideas has helped me get off the ground. Plus some sequences of my own. However, all of these, along with all my old TG-related works, will now be posted to this new account: (It still needs a bit of work here and there, but stuff's already posted there. )
I apologize to everyone who enjoyed the originals for the inconvenience, but I do hope you'll continue to enjoy my works from here on out.
I guess that's all I have to say for now.

It's been quite a while since I've posted much of anything to my gallery (the Froslass quickie doesn't count.) To be honest, I feel pretty bad that I've kept quiet for so long; I'm really, really bad at making status updates and such.
Quite a few things have been going on for me recently. One of them is an artist's block that I've been having for some months now. I hate that feeling when, at some moment, I get fired up to work on something, I bring out my tablet, get the pen ready...but nothing comes out. Not a single line, not a single idea, nothing. Is it because of college draining me out? Is it because I have thinned myself by trying to work on about five or six different drawings? Who knows. Fortunately, I've been kinda chipping away at that block in recent weeks. I have made slow, but steady progress on some of those WIPs; and while I don't know when I'll finish them, it's a lot more than I could say a couple months ago.
Another thing is college. While classes have been a bit more lax than last semester, this one's are much more about practice and such. Photoshop, Illustrator, Photography...classes haven't been too bad per se, but they do send long homeworks which require larger creative input from me. Aside from that, I joined a club, and one of the projects they have planned is a magazine, which I'm supposed to be helping with. This adds yet another project to my hands, and as with homework, also requires creative input. As such, most of my creative juices have been directed at college. =_=;;
Third...well, honestly, this one's on me, but I've been quite distracted with Pokemon lately. Before that, it was Super Smash Bros. for 3DS. It may have to do with the remakes/the Wii U version being released, but me not being able to buy it yet, mixed in with my horrible procrastination, but...yeah, I take responsibility for this one. orz
And, lastly, some real life issues have come up lately. I'll just say the last couple of weeks have been...less than pleasant for me and my family. I'd rather not say much about it, but at the very least, things are looking up better now.
Anyhow, as I said earlier, I'm really, REALLY bad at keeping others updated. I want to apologize to those I owe requests and such. =_=; I've kept quiet for so long, and yet haven't shown anything for those...I'm really sorry. While I'm still working on those, I do want to apologize for taking so long on those requests. It's just inexcusable, especially since I haven't even kept you guys informed. m(_ _)m
I'll try my best to increase my effort, though in exchange I'll probably have to cut down on the amount of stuff I'm working on. I'll probably just work on two or three WIPs for now, then continue with the rest. I'm even hesitant on working on my own stuff until I'm done with at least some requests. =_=;
In less interesting news:
-I think I've become a bit obsessed in building a good Pokemon team after losing a couple of tournaments with friends. Then again, until I get the one of the remakes, there's not much else I can do with my game...
-Lost my tablet's cable this week. Fortunately, my brother was able to get me a temporary replacement, but still...orz
-Midterms are starting next week. Good news, I only have two exams. Bad news, exams aside, I still have a couple of long homework to do (plus the magazine project for my club)! Joy of joys.
-Said club magazine will require me to draw a comic. Not sure if ready.
-I may have caught a cold yesterday, since my throat's been sore since then, plus other symptoms (runny nose, slight fever).
-This is hilarious: [link].
-I'm still in need of some income. Tried looking for a job, wasn't successful. Still looking for one, but the whole situation did make me think: should I give commissions a try? Even ignoring the whole payment issue (because if push comes to shove, I can ask someone to help me set up Paypal or something), I'm kinda hesitant about it. Not only does my poor self-esteem mean I can't put a price on my stuff, my inability to work consistently on the requests makes me worried as well. I mean, if I can't do requests properly, commissions would be a nightmare! What do guys think about it?
Well, I guess that's all for now. Hopefully I'll be able to make some progress and actually give some better update by next week. =_=

Man, when was the last time I've written a journal?
Yeah, I'm not very talkative, am I?
Anyhow, things have been a bit hectic for me lately. Homework almost every day, especially art homework, and I suck at traditional coloring more than digital it seems! Well, at least I'm somewhat OK with watercolor...probably will keep practicing that from time to time for a while.
In any case, because of this, as well as my trademark poor time management, my time to work on my own personal art has been quite small, with occasional breaks to take advantage of. Because of this, and because I have a tendency to enjoy getting ideas and thus can't say "no" a lot of the time, I've decided I should write this journal to keep my current requests in order.
-Tharja TG/AP Comic (for )
-Off-site Fanart Request
-Selvaria Bles TG (for )
-Makoto Naegi FTM TG (for )
Now, one thing I'd like to point out: these most likely won't be done in a particular order. I tend to have random bursts of inspiration from time to time, and during these, I'll work on whatever is related to said burst. This includes my occasional random arts/fanarts, gifts, sequences/comics based on stories I've liked, as well as sequences or comics of my own.
I do have some plans of my own set:
Some future plans:
-Continuing work on "Ah, Viva Youth" Ch. 2 (for planning only 4 chapters...I suck at actually finishing them...)
-Some more sequences for the P4 Arcana series (...it's a series now? I may also try the P3 girls after that)
-A comic based on one of 's stories.
-Not to mention a couple of gifts...
Still, because I hate braking promises and leaving people waiting for long periods of time(;__; ), I will try to give these some priority as well.
Speaking of, I'll need to think of a cap and rules for these requests and trades after I've finished my current ones. Don't want to get swamped with too many at a time and taking too long on them...orz.
I'm thinking maybe three at a time would be OK; what do you guys think?
Well, I guess that's all for now. I'll try to update more on my current works and requests when the time comes.

Three months spent in the US in a Work and Travel Program. First time traveling there, but still...wow.
I really gotta catch up on everything I missed over here.
In any case, although it was a long and torturous endurance test, I got a lot of good stuff from that trip. Mostly videogames and some artbooks, but also the satisfaction of having actually traveled to the US.
Still, catching up and a new semester are next on schedule. Also, I got a new drawing tablet over there. Been practicing drawing with it for some time now. Gotta improve a lot, but slowly making my way there!
Well, that's it for now.

Welp, first of all, after some time, I finally decided to start the CyberSoul game project I've been meaning to do for quite some time. It's planned to have Metroidvania style gameplay, and it's currently in its concept phase. I'm still designing overall gameplay, enemies, and other stuff. For now, I started a thread for it in the Dark Side of the Moon forums. Oh, which brings me to another point.
I recently joined a new forum. It's called the Dark Side of the Moon. It focuses on fandoms such as TYPE-MOON, Gundam and others. You can discuss your favorite series, post fanfics or even fanart, there's roleplaying, and more. The forum just recently started, but we're hoping more people can join in. Anyone is welcome. ^^
The last announcement I'll make is...after applying in a work and travel program, I finally got a visa, and I'll be traveling to the US next month! I'll be working at a resort in Florida, but, I'll also be able to experience American culture first hand.
I'm really excited! This'll be my first time traveling.
Well, that'll be all for now.
I keep doodling stuff, but I still want to improve and make something more presentable.
Maybe one day I'll even be able to post digital art...
Who knows? XD

Anyways, just wanted to make a quick journal update.
Well, I haven't been posting lately, considering college has gotten more and more difficult each week. I'll keep trying to sketch something in my free time, that is, IF I have free time. Usually there's only enough to go out for a bit, or play some games for a bit.
Well, I went to the Convencion Nacional de Comics here at Guayaquil. Conventions here seem much more smaller than in the US, but they're still a little bit fun to go. Many anime songs were playing from one o the stands, and there was a cospley contest. Anyhow, I wandered around, since I felt more like sightseeing. I did buy a Nendoroid Snow Miku figure, though. It's cute.
I also downloaded Cave Story last week. Read a lot about it on TV Tropes, so I figured I might as well try, considering it's one of the few freewares I can get on Mac, unlike Iji or La-Mulana. I'll have to get around to play it one of these days.
Anyways, I think that's it for this mini-update.

Well, that aside, I just finished my second week of college. It's been tough these last weeks. Probably gonna get worse later, so it's nice to have sometime to relax. College takes a lot of time, so I'm unable to post anything anymore. Although I'll still try to improve and keep drawing, it'll be when I find the time, of course.
Not much of an update, I guess, but it's better than posting nothing at all. I miss high school already. But, life is hard, and we have to tough it up or it'll eat us alive.
Well, I guess that's it for now. I'll try posting something by next week. Keyword being try.

You have been tagged! Follow these rules.

- In the same entry, type of three things about you, and one secret lie. Be sure to mix them up.

Last week went to the beach, for Carnaval. It was nice to relax once in a while, considering I'm gonna be stuck in classes for a couple of months. And I'll possibly have a job (Still considering what). Unfortunately, I also came back just in time for the exams. What I relaxed at the beach, I got stressed twice as much, especially for the all-nighters I pulled to study. Hoping I get a good grade .
Also recently is the earthquake crisis in Japan. I was quite shocked when I found out about it at 2 AM in the morning, and later on, everyone was on watch due to the tsunami warning we had over here. My condolences to the victims of the quake and tsunami, and I really hope for Japan's recovery. However, I'm still worried about the explosions at the reactor, and their possible consequences on their country. We can only pray... -_-
I'll try to practice CG from here on out, but it will take time before I get the hang of it (especially without a tablet). I'll try some tutorials online, and hope to finally be able to post something decent.

It's been some difficult weeks. I have to take some classes here in Ecuador before entering college. And, no matter what happens, I have to take them. And they eat up my vacation. So, no 3-4 month break before college for me. It's been keeping me busy for now, and I'm sure it will be keeping me busy for some time.
At least I received good news! I got an acceptance letter from Drury! And with scholarship! I still have to find how to finance the rest of the cost, and it's one application out of 5, but it's still great. I'll have to wait for a while to see how things turn out, but for now they seem to be heading into a good direction.
Anyways, I'm sorry for not posting anything lately. It's like I'm having some sort of block or something. I have ideas in my head, but can't seem to be able to put them on paper. And I've kinda been a wee bit addicted to playing Pesona 4. The game's so exciting, I start playing, but can't stop for a good while. Great game, but very long. I've finally finished high school, so my six-year nightmare is finally over. I'll be able to take a break for the next couple of months. Okay, I still have to enter college, and go through all the process, but that's another story. One more enjoyable.
In less important news, I'm almost finished with Dead Rising 2! Still have to beat Overtime. That Sullivan is a cheater, hit him 3 times with my Knife Gloves and he didn't even flinch (or get damage ). At least I beat him (after many tries...).
Well, I hope everything goes as planned. I'll try to draw more to practice. Many things on my mind...

So, 2011 has started, and I haven't updated for some time. Anyhow, been busy with studying. The final FINAL exams are in a week, so I've been under pressure for quite a time. At least I get some breaks from time to time.
During the holiday break, I started playing Final Fantasy XIII and Dead Rising 2 (got them for Christmas). Good games, with a degree of difficulty, but nothing I can't handle. Though I haven't played them a lot (study...).
Well, since the year just started, and I'm still waiting for the replies for the college applications, there's still a lot to look forward to. Let's hope this year is even better than the last.

Also, I'm in the process of finishing my applications for study in the US. It'll take a lot of hard work, but I'm sure I'll be able to finish it all. Perseverance is the key. And good rest.
Anyways, hope I make it. 'Till then, wish me luck.
