Secrets of Baphomet

I think it’s time to share some hot shit. :D

This is the most famous illustration of Baphomet made by Eliphas Levi.

(I didn’t draw this, I just added the colored lines)

One day I stared at the picture of Baphomet and meditated about its meanings and suddenly I began to see signs forming out of its body.

So I used the distinctive spots (red marked) of Baphomet’s body as fixed points and connected them with the green and blue lines you can see in the picture.

I’m sure I am not the first one who discovered this, but I never read about it or saw anything alike.

I’m curious if Eliphas Levi intended all this or if this is coincidence or just my mind. I think it’s important enough to share.

At least for me it opened some doors…

The Symbols besides some thoughts of me, left to right:

- Unicursal Hexagram (symbol of Aleister Crowley’s Thelema, Crowley thought of himself as reincarnation of Levi)

- Seal of Saturn  (Saturn as Guardian of the Threshold)

- Seal of Lucifer (Lucifer the Light Bringer)

- regular {7/2} Heptagram (also Sigil of BABALON)

- Two Pentagrams

- Two sulfur symbols combined in the middle (well, this is probably just something I wanted to see… but the symbol of  infinity, the lemniscate of Bernoulli, was something also the freemasons used)

- Hexagram with Eye of Providence in the middle

- Kabbalistic Tree of Life

In the meantime I found some more symbols.

There seem to be a lot more, a never ending well of correspondences and wisdom.

So in the end it doesn’t matter if there actually is an intended deeper meaning, because the creative mind can develop those meanings itself.

To all who believe this is expressing some satanic concepts ... it is not. In traditional esoterics no such concepts ever exist ... there is only universal polarity. All implications of this being something devilish are based on mis-conceptions and intentionally imposed mis-interpretations from a Christian point of view, which indeed is evil itself. There is no god between us ... but us.

Verty interesting, I myself thought of it's resemblence to Tree of Life, but I see there is a lot more now. Great job as always.
This is awesome, I didn't know the tree of life was in there D:

very interesting and demonstrative observations!
and after couple of years I've finally found the picture that unites the symbols hidden in Baphomet's image.

great work!

thank you.
But I'm not sure if these symbols are hidden intentionally or if it is just coincidence...

and thank you for watching

that's the point! :)
the biggest question about this illustration of Levi's Baphomet is exactly "intentionallity or coincidence?"

The angles of the wings and the heptagram  is an interesting observation, like in the tarot of thoth the angles of all the figures are significant. Just look at the hanged man for example arms stretched to a 60 degree angle to show the triangle summited by the cross. Its no mere coincidence that the wings on baphomet match the star of babalon.

now I need to re-eye my deck of tarot of Thoth! Nod

Good to know that you see it the same way.
And yeah, the Thoth Tarot is absolutely incredible and mad, Frieda Harris did an amazing work together with Crowley. I'm not into deep with Kabbala yet, but the more I learn, the more fascinating it becomes.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "somatic impression", but I saw the lines in some kind of thought process, in front of my inner eye, like the hypnagogic state of consciousness before sleeping. I wasn't astral or something like that.

And thank your for the feedback

"thank you" not "your"

Very awesome, in what manner could you see the lines was it astrally in your body of light, or was it more of a somatic impression in your thought process? Either way this is very cool.
