What a Child Knows
The monster under the bed taunted her…
“…I’m going to get you, and eat you all up!”
It was a horrible monster. Its skin was all green and slimy, with a big head and not enough for all the sharp, black teeth.
“I told my grandma about you.” The girl declared, as if the words would prove a shield against it.
“Grown ups don’t believe eight year olds.” It chuckled in an awful sort of way that sounded thick and sticky and told the child “She can’t believe you, because grown ups can’t see me. They can’t believe in monsters under the bed.”
For the most part, the little girl knew it was true.  Every time she brought grandma into her room, the monster wouldn’t be there.  And then grandma would shake her head so that even an eight year old understood she was annoyed and had had enough.
“But I told my mommy too.” The little girl ment

Whores of Babblingon
The little boy of three years old,
bobbled like a cork in the water as he ran
and didn’t care when fingers nimbler than
rabid tongues
made him giggle with pleasure,
until a dagger sliced, even at the root;
“Boy, cover your shame!”
Years later,
where he buries his shame becomes
a red bloom of self and
several faculty members who said
“Johnny was always such a good boy.”
Bad upbringing, because the morality
is never wrong…
We bear, round the mysticisms of our
own desires, the burdens of our taboos,
those unwanted creations of belief gone
too fertile and permitted because mental
pro-lifery of such a sort
is considered a divine gift
by the ones who use it like a choker
we wear too willingly,
for the sake of a piece
of mind.
They go on and on and the words
are meaningless, out of context
with the bigger picture we’re not allowed
to step back and see painted
on our bodies like tongues of red and
purple fire more brilliant that the gray word
bubbles

Second Sheet to the Left
He had no idea how he got there short of getting tied up in Kenthalye’s bed linen.
She wouldn’t have forgotten he was there and throw him into the laundry, would she?  As a human, she had her ‘unenlightened’ moments – slips in memory – and moments of plain maliciousness…
“…She SAID she wanted to regulate her sleeping time,” Red Alert reminded himself primly, fighting his way through layers of endless white – well – not completely white.  And he realized they had odd odors to them.  And – there were Disney prints – and – he squealed.
“PLEASE let those be chocolate stains.”
“No worries, bot.  Girl sneaks ‘em all the time.  She keeps it up though, she’s gonna wind up here with US pretty soon.”
“Girl? Chocolate? OLD chocolate?”
“Drool more like.  Pops candy in, drools it out at night; ‘s why the boss lady washes ‘em at least once a we

Best Seller
There was hardly any genius in my detritus,
prettily dressed out of the black moods
and rabid highs from the froth
of chemical means,
or the ease in which they broke me
down into a common experience.
Where was the singularity
in over 1 million copies sold?
I'll never be bargain basement,
overstock;
I won't live that long.
I'll buy it in the
high strung noose of my angst driven,
much-envied talent.
They'll sing my praises
to the pendulum rhythm they make of me
in the direction of mediocrity
of becoming a house hold name...

One More Dead King
Meanwhile, in Camelot, USA…
Stiff-spined, flashy men with pointy sticks, telling the good man he's bad.
Stern slap, sticky fingers, and asks you to call him dad.
To lie is to laugh,
To rule is to lust.
We're hitching our way, the new world order or bust.
When I had a slug in my side I could hardly sing, up walked to me, another lead king.
With his gun in his belt, he said to me, he wouldn't become,
One more,
One more dead king.
Tie the rope and call the crowd, we're going to have a hanging, make it loud!
[Brief, up-beat solo]
Sharp-toothed, hungry men with flashing lights, building joy just for us.
Fat grin, poison tongue, and gets you on a tour bus.
To lie is to laugh,
To rule is to lust.
We're hitching our way, the new world order or bust.
When I hung from a grape vine I could hardly cling, up walked to me, another lead king.
With his gun in his belt, he said to me, he wouldn't become,
One more,
One more dead king.
[Second solo]
When they say our time for war is here again, they

The Iron Warlord
The Old Man takes his final footsteps,
Knowing they will be his last,
He sings the song his mother taught him,
Filled with visions of his past.
He walks the path his life has taught him,
Knowing well it means his death,
He never knew another option,
His honor stains his final breath.

Pride

ALL LOVE IS EQUAL

Made with pride by the DeviantArt community BROWSE ALL ART

I don't carry a cell phone. I spend years on call 24/7, but thanks to my living in a third world country, thanks to people like Donald Trump and Mitch McConell, this may be necessary because I have children and writers in my family, and a cell phone may be the only way to share their last moments with them as they hide under their desks in terror because it's okay in this country to be an entitled ass and the weak minded are taking their cues from them.

And it's not a mental health issue; most people with real mental problems are are more likely to be victims; see Anthony Bourdain, Robin Williams.

No, these are people who have been brainwashed by a system to believe certain things perpetuated by a culture racing towards fascism using religion and class as weapons.  The ones wielding power uses racism and misogyny to divide us.

Do you think that which created us really gives a shit about skin color or gender choice? I'm a mom and you know what I care about? That my kids love each other and tolerate one another.  I'd rather the living one who can suffer get an abortion because the pack of cells is a parasite with no real meaning (and for fucking forced birthers, the bible says no life until FIRST FUCKING BREATH! And the what's in vitro only has worth to the parents - LOOK IT UP!).

Rule of thumb; That it harm none, do as you will (who actually live).  And if others are backing a dogma, look at it first.  See who it benefits in the long run. See how it affects you LONG TERM.  Buddha, Jesus, Mohammed all preached love and right acting ABOVE ALL THINGS. Locking up children, grabbing women, not allowing people their own identities, killing people is not love.  These entities would not want you harming others in their names - and by that I mean entities who can cry and make determinations about their lives. And you are not losing anything if you do.  You only think you are.  I mean - really – do you need that diamond more than a child needs to eat? Do you need that profit more than the plant life on this planet needs to be adaptive to it rather than predatory to everything around it? To where you need to own its DNA where you let others starve or turn on everyone around them? Do you need to usurp another person's autonomy for status?

As a soldier, I pledged my heart, my health and my life to the greater good (okay, at first I did it to step into adulthood and get a job). I do not regret it. I do not regret the risks and costs and fear.  I did not know the names or faces of those I was protecting and I did not care.  I was a soldier ant and I chose not fame or riches but the greater good and I saw it every day. Every day I was reminded that my choice was a good one.  I just had to look.  Everyone can do that too - they can look and discover the truth; by their fruits you shall know them.  Get beyond your politics and ego and just - look and then do what's right.

Before Ajit Pai corrupts the Internet so badly, you won't get that text goodbye from your loved ones until you read it in a Trump sanctioned Fox new report.
