I ended up coming home for Thanksgiving! Although it was COMPLETELY UNEXPECTED, as I will explain why! I was fully prepared to spend the entire 4-day break locked in my dorm room doing some intense final project battle..I even prepared all the TV dinners and ramen so I would never have to leave my room! But then all of a sudden last Saturday, my chest felt kinda weird and it was hard to breathe. I didn't think much about it, since with the abuse I give this body, some pain here or there is unavoidable. There was one weird thing...I thought it might go away if I went to sleep because I was tired, so I took a nap. But when I woke up, the pain got worse!! That was weird.
Anyways, so I was scared to sleep because I didn't want it to hurt anymore, and besides I had too much hw to sleep anyways. On Sunday it got a little worse and my friends were worried and told me I should visit the health center, but as I said, no time no time.. Then on Monday..well, I don't really remember if I felt anything on Monday...I was too tired to feel much (I think that would be 2 nights w/o sleep), and then on Tuesday all of a sudden I felt better!! Like WAO MAYBE MY NO-SLEEP PLAN REALLY WORKS IN GETTING RID OF PAIN!!! 8DDDDD My project was due on Tuesday, so I thought I would celebrate with some sleep, after three nights and 4 days w/o any (a person record I think )
So I went to bed at probably 1 A.M. (again record early) and all of a sudden at 4 A.M. I woke up from this FUHKING IMMENSE PAIN IN MY CHEST. It hurt so bad, that I was sobbing my brains out and had snot running outta my nose. Which probably made it worse since I COULDN'T BREATHE. grah. When I wasn't breathing, it felt like hell. When I DID take a breath, it felt like hell's hell. Oh yeah, and lying down hurt even more. WEIRD.
So I finally decided "yeah, it's probably a good time to visit student health services." But...the office didn't open till 8:00! The bastards. I didn't have any pain medicine, but I found some cough medicine that had "pain reliever" in it so I took some. Oh yeah, and it was raining when I walked there so I was soaking wet by the time I arrived. Sheesh, as if falling off the stairs and walking straight into a brick wall wasn't enough, they had to make it rain. OTL
So 10000000 X-rays, blood-sucking tests, weird tests where they stuck wires and stickers from my feet to my chest, oxygen tests to make sure I was actually breathing (LOL)...the diagnosis was...THEY DON'T KNOW. Well the doctor saw the lower right of my lung was blurry and screwed up, and in her genius, said, "I know, it's gotta be PNEUMONIA! YEAH!"
Which is weird cause I didn't have a fever or a cold before...(how many times have I said weird?) But whatever, I'm not the one with the doctor's degree. I figured having pneumonia was probably something important enough to tell my parents, so they were like, "OMG, COME HOME. IF YOU DIE, WE DON'T WANNA FLY ALL THE WAY OVER THERE TO PICK UP YOUR CORPSE." REAL NICE. Now you know why I avoid contact with my family.
But yeah, so I somehow managed to pick up my medication and inhaler, pack up my laptop and hw, and catch the bus to the airport to fly home. KEEP IN MIND I'M STILL HALF DEAD HERE AND CAN BARELY MOVE AND BREATHE, and you know how when you're in a loooot of pain, you make lots of strange small noises? yeah, that was embarrassing on the plane.
So one way or another, I made it back home. I got taken to a second doctor early Thanksgiving day, but she was in such a hurry to get back home for her Thanksgiving celebration she didn't see me for very long. At first she said pneumonia too, but I was like "Are you sure?! I don't have a cold!!" So she was like, "hmm...maybe you're right.. I guess you just hurt your muscles then." ....uh..... Man, oh man, what kind of a doctor gets swayed by a patient like ME?! So her diagnosis was that I had somehow strained the muscles between my rib cage. Prolly because I sit in front of the computer and desk working almost 24/7. I personally feel that is more true because I always felt like the pain was a muscle issue (that interfered with my breathing) and not a lung issue. So I got some more medicine and now have to take a grand whopping total of 6 pills a day (NOT including all the pills I'm already
Ok, that's that. I've rambled for too long on that subject. I'm flying home tomorrow, and I'm personally happy to be escaping from this house. =w=;;;
Oh! So Black Friday came, right?! I didn't even know of the existence until a year ago, but it didn't take long for us to exploit it! On Friday morning, I woke up (late) and my mom was, "GUESS WHAT we bought you!!!" And I was shocked, "OMG, NO FRICKIN WAY...D-DID YOU...BUY ME...HEADPHONES?!?!?!?!" Because I have been using those earbud things for a long time, and on several occasions already I've had some hearing damage where I hear this annoying beeping noise for an entire day, so I thought maybe using headphones might help a bit.
It turns out I didn't get headphones (darn it), but I got...A DIGITAL CAMERA!!! Wah, I'm so excited!! Nobody knows the feeling of having to rely on a dinky 10-year-old (probably) camera where the screen doesn't even work, and it's less than 2 megapixels. Just so you know, most cellphone cameras are over 2 megapixels already. So it reaaally really sucked. And it wasn't even mine, it was the "family's". So now I finally have something beautiful, slick, and shiny to whore over all by myself...nyahahahahahahahaaaaaaa
And that's not all!! They also bought Guitar Hero 3!!!!!! Is it old already? Well I don't really care...haha... Our policy is that we'll all get nice things....eventually.... I never get to buy anything while it's still popular and "in fashion" but wait a year or two when the hype is down and the price is cut in half, that's when we are finally allowed to get it! Movies too.. instead of watching them at the movie theaters, I have to wait till it goes out on DVD and then we rent it. Sometimes it's hard waiting, and it sucks seeing everybody else have something that I don't have.. but it's ok. I'll catch up....eventually!!!
I still haven't gotten an iPod though.. I mean one with a screen. I got a two shuffles (turns out both of them were free prizes, woot loool) but hey, as long as it plays music I guess I can live.
Oh, and Guitar Hero is so fun. Rock Band is more fun, but..I can't complain when I already got something this fine!
Ok, guess that's it for this one. I still have LOTS more to write (OH NOES!) about all of these AWESOME AWESOME series that I've been reading/watching that I want to share, but I'm sure you've noticed by now...that my subscription has run out. And since those are going to be rather image-intensive posts (I want to give character bios, plot summaries, the whole shebang so I can drag you guys all into the fandom with me!) so I guess I have to wait until the subscription gets refilled. Someday. By Someone. orz.
Dammit, I knew I should've spammed you guys with more journals and polls when I had the chance. I never even got to ask you guys questions like: What color socks do you think Edgeworth wears? I personally think he's hotter with black socks, but white seems like a more "perfect" color for the perfect prosecutor. And white is also more boyish..I think Edgeworth just has some pure, untouched boyish charm with him, don't you think? 8'DDDDDD
Oh yeah, asked me to make a xmas wish list... I can't really think of anything right now except for:
1. Giftart/fanart of Gokudera and Tsuna from Katekyo Hitman Reborn
2. a dA subscription. (*finger twitch* I-I need my 120 thumbnails...OTL)
3. uh....world peace? more love? more gyakuten games to be released and made free to download for me to play? no wait, that's beyond anybody's power level to grant...
I'll see if I can think of anything else! Truth be told, I am already very happy for everything that I have.. OH YEAH, YOU GUYS DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE TWO **** ANTHOLOGIES I GOT! OR MY NEW ******!!! Maybe next time!
