Lion's Prey

Just to clarify some stuff
I guess I created a bit of confusion, this was actually Lion performing Hex, and then Finger of Death. But I dont want to name the artwork "Hex" so I go with the latter(appreciate if there's a better title suggestion though!)

A Dota II fan art, really learnt a lot doing it, learning how to capture personality, learning how to keep a strong focal point by directing a stronger composition, a more contrasting value and colours, learning the importance of materials, how to paint fire and most importantly how to stay focus and patience bringing it to finish. No textures are used here, it's all painting (besides a customized texture brush to bring a rougher feeling to the strokes). I'd try to avoid applying textures to my painting at this stage where I am still learning, so I'll try to paint stuff by hand, it's a lot more enjoyable that way too! So before I use a short cut, I'll better learn how to do it the tough way to understand it first. Of course things could have been better, but I have to call it final. Hope you guys enjoy it, as much as I do painting it.
