I drew this screaming troll type monster design a while ago and mulled over making it or not. In the end, I decided to make it but I'm not sure anyone will really want to buy them :P I just liked the idea of their startled and rather terrified facial expressions!

If anyone has any creative name ideas for these guys, I'd appreciate it :) At the moment, all I can think of is screamin' amis or screamis but that sounds lame for some reason. In the light box, my camera seems to have had a hard time distinguishing the bright purple one and blue coloured one :/ maybe I'll try some pics in the garden at some point. These are ~12cm high, but I plan to make 1/2 sized ones for keychains.

Also, if you have any opinions or criticisms for the aspects of the face, I'd love to hear em :)

I actually think 'screamis' is a cute term. x3 And they're absolutely adorable, haha, they look surprised. I think they could also look like they're singing, too, but then again if they were singing I think the eyebrows wouldn't be raised nearly so much. But gosh, they're cute. I think this is such a neat creation, I saw the thumbnail for it and clicked on it first because I wondered what these were. As your own creation, you should give yourself more credit. I bet you could sell them! <3

The little fuzz on the top of their heads is a nice addition, too!

Thanks, your nice comments definitely make me more confident about these characters :) I've put them on etsy, but again haven't been getting many sales recently. It's mainly the catbug pattern that's selling, but I guess fanart is always easier to sell. I have just had my first custom item request though, which I'm really happy about :)

I saw your custom order on facebook, congratulations! :D

Fanart always gets more attention than anything original. It's such a shame, but I think people are comfortable with what's familiar to start, and when someone seeks something out due to a fandom, that always gains you more attention. But never give up on original - I know it can be discouraging when it barely gets any of the feedback it deserves, but I personally have always preferred to see more original stuff from artists. Whether that be artwork, writing, amigurumi, or something else! So don't let it get you down, and don't let the lack of sales do that either. <3
