Imagine having to deal with *those* kinds of seagulls going after your french fries and pooping on your car!

Instead of French fries, it steals toddlers!

I don't imagine the MacDonalds where we were parked would have cared for *that* situation. It would totally destroy their rep as a family-friendly business. :D (Big Grin)

It'd be like vultures maybe

Except vultures avoid crowded places in general and cities in particular. Woulf these guts do the same, or would they swarm in parking lots the same way regular sea gulls do?
I remember one time riding in a pickup truck to a MacDonalds, and no sooner had we parked when a seagull landed on the hood just in front of the windshield, bold as brass and not moving until we stepped out and actively shooed it away. Imagine one of these critters doing that! Yikes. Not sure I'd dare shoo one of *those* away! Or even step out of the pickup!

I guess the size and biology of an animal really determines their daring to steal from other predators.

Nor sure about that. Mice for instance can be pretty damned bold. As a teenager i saw one steal kibble from my dog's dish right in front of the dog, who just watched it in apparent fascination!
