Title: Prism

Amazing art By an Amazing friend: :iconleonealart:

Character: Asma Jensen (c) yours truly

Clothes designs: original concept is mine but she tweaked it :)

It's been a while since you last saw a card hasn't it? My best friend Louise started it on my bday a couple years ago and after four others here comes the 5th. Each and everyone of them have a meaning and it's very interesting to see how different yet true they are. It's one thing to see your character and stories through the eyes of someone else and I have this connection with Leoneal that makes each and every piece unique and fun to explore. She has free reign in the settings and concept. She understands Asma and me to a level I can't comprehend. And this before we even became close friends.

So prism. Why prism? She explained to me that for her it means variations and she wanted to represent the changes Asma goes through.

For me it means that Asma is multi faceted. She also reflects the light and projects it onto people. She is Hope and hope means a different thing to each individual. Hence the prism. The Phoenix is also very meaningful since hope doesn't truly die. It can be reborn, it can have another life. It can even transform. Asma evolves, as a concept but also as a character. Her whole journey is about transformation and evolution. It's all about never giving up and still go despite adversity, it's about accepting ourselves no matter how dark things can be and how imperfect we can be and how little we understand the world we live in. She will go through a lot before she can finally embrace her true self and new life so seeing this.....

I can't even begin to explain what I love about it. :) I just can't.... but if I was pressed I would say the colours. They make me feel calm and relaxed. They make me feel good. that's what Asma does :)
