I've been a little slow on new plushies recently, but I hope to have some new models done soon.

Too many projects in the fire, unfortunately.

Here's what I'm working on:
1) Writing some short stories for a sci-fi and fantasy anthology
2) Planning a light novel series (and wondering how I'll handle illustrations)
3) Streaming as often as I can (most week days) on twitch (Follow me here: twitch.tv/Kadono_)
4) Planning some speedruns
5) Making a furret pattern
6) Reconsidering my next pokemon patterns
7) Chibi/doll pokemon?
8) Studying to improve my Japanese
9) Working on training vidoes
10) Podcasting

So yeah, I should probably either finish some of this or cull the list a bit. Plushies haven't been high enough to get worked on in a while, but I'm getting some motivation again.

Queue (as of now):

:bulletyellow: Planned, have materials
:bulletred: Considering

:bulletgreen: Furret
:bulletgreen: Whismur
:bulletyellow: Drifloon
:bulletyellow: Pilup
:bulletred: Spiky-eared Pichu
:bulletred: Mudkip
:bulletred: Azurill
:bulletred: Cleffa
:bulletred: Tyranitar? (there was some interest)

One final thing, I might make some very big pokemon plushies. I would love to make some life size ones in the 3' - 6' size range, but shipping those is an unbelievable hassle. Because of that, I guess I might have to start making some that aren't "life-size" :(

If you'd like to help me out, pick up something on my etsy page: etsy.com/shop/kadono

I'm not sure whether or not I'll be making any more plushies this year. After tomorrow I'll be visiting family, so that'll probably put a kink in plans. Or maybe I'll try to do something smaller and original-y-er. Like some pouches or something. I dunno, no promises.

Here's what I have going so far:

Queue:
:bulletgreen: Whismur
:bulletyellow: [Maybe a commission]
:bulletyellow: Drifloon
:bulletyellow: Pilup
:bulletyellow: Furret
:bulletred: Spiky-eared Pichu
:bulletred: Mudkip
:bulletred: Azurill
:bulletred: Cleffa

I've designed the whismur pattern, and I expect that drifloon won't take more than a couple hours to put together a pattern. Then I plan on getting out of this vaguely spherical shaped rut I seem to be in.

If you would like to commission me, check out my commission info on my profile page. Just know that I won't be able to start work on any commissions until after the end of the year.

Or, if you'd like to help me out, you can get something from my etsy shop: www.etsy.com/shop/kadono You have no idea how much I would appreciate if you got something ^_^

Here's what I'm working on or planning to make in the near future. I'm mostly limited right now by what materials I have on hand. I probably shouldn't buy much more until I get a few sales.

I'm kind of stuck on this idea of making them life sized, or at least as life sized as you can when working with fantasy creatures. Furret is probably the biggest of this list, it's about six feet long. I can't imagine what it would cost to ship something like that.

I'd really appreciate if you bought something from my Etsy shop: www.etsy.com/shop/kadono I'm pretty short on money at the moment. Right now I'm only shipping to the USA due to the cost, but if you live outside the USA and you want to buy something, just note me and we can try to work something out.

Also, if you're interested in something along the lines of what's here but isn't listed, you can commission me. I'll get a proper commission info post together sooner or later, but for now you can just note me and we can work it out.

So I've actually completed at least 5 more plushies I haven't posted yet. I spent about one week working on plushies exclusively but the rest of my time had been devoted to National Novel Writing Month (which is technically International, and I think "InnoWriMo" has a better ring to it, but whatever).

I'm still hopelessly behind and I don't like the pictures I've already tried to take of the plushies. I'll get them posted in December. Hopefully in that first week of December.

Oh yeah, and I'll get my Etsy store running along with posting some commission info here. I should probably get on that.

At first, they seem like a waste of time.

Right now though, it's looking like a good idea. Though I think I'll be holding off on the life size Chansey until a little later. The first version of her needs some work. Maybe a full on remake. *sigh*

Minun is done, though I'm not 100% happy with the design and the wiring wasn't strong enough to hold the ears up more than just being in a kind of upwards direction. I'm making some subtle changes for plusle, though if I took another stab at these two I might make further changes.

That's all for today, back to NaNoWriMo for me.

Note: Spoilers for Dr Who below.

The current season of Dr Who just started, and I had fun, but I was a little disappointed. After the "Pond Life" buildup of the breakup of Amy and Rory it got resolved a little too quickly. I would have liked it if they could have made it take more than a five minute conversation to solve what was supposed to be a larger problem. Nope, the Doctor just makes them talk for a minute and it turns out that nothing's wrong.

And the Amy x Rory relationship had been the one that I believed the most.

The daleks on this asylum were all broken down and old. I thought they could have played more with the idea of dalek insanity. As it was, the daleks all seemed to be more or less normal, just in need of maintenance for their battle armor. Erasing the daleks' memories of the Doctor also seems... strange. I can't see how that can help the series out.

The new plot device of "any organic being can be a dalek" seems interesting. I'm also curious as to how they'll turn Oswin into the new companion. It would be sad if they changed her story line from "she saved the Doctor" to "the Doctor saved her".

Overall, I thought the episode was fun, but I'm growing more concerned about the overall plot line of the series. I'm worried that in the last few episodes we're going to see some deus ex machina which invalidates most of the series up until that point. I'd rather not see the accidentally destroyed timeline of an interesting character like River Song happen again. (Seriously, think about her personal timeline, it doesn't make sense)

I'm hoping we see more of the Silence and perception filters and all that in the next few episodes, or perhaps some background on the headless monks. They seemed interesting. Or a headless monk converted into a dalek, how about that?

Enough random ranting for now. I need to finish editing this podcast.

So Mark and I finished recording episode 13.

For the entire first part (almost 2 hours of recording) it didn't save the audio.

Apparently, since Mark noticed it wasn't registering audio and I change the input _after_ the recording started, it just went on without changing audio sources. At least I learned a new thing about this broadcasting software.

So frustrating. Since both of us do this as a hobby, I'm not sure we'll be able to try again for another week. Also, this makes a case for taking a break or two somewhere in that section to lower the risk.

I really liked that episode too, but since everything is always off the cuff, we won't be able to recreate it.

*sigh* next week I guess.

((I can't help it. I guess episode 13 is... unlucky. Sorry))
