Description
Type 66 was designed based on experience with Japanese made Type 16 MCVs. Main point of replacing Type 10s was to simplify the production and it's inability to cross rivers or flooded areas. Type 66 does not vary a lot from Type 16 - similar design, mobility and firepower, with only exception and improvement being it's ability to swim. Type 66s replaced all existing Type 16s in SGAF in Mot.-Schützen, Grenadier and Marines units.

Idea time
What about an artillery variant on the same chassis? in would provide forward troops with a powerful and highly mobile arty platform that can outmaneuver counter-battery fire with ease and it could be used in a assault tank role in a pinch.
This is essentially the same concept behind the South African G6 howitzer minus the assault tank role as the G6 was more artillery-only focused.
