Diana Goes To School (Chapter 4)
After lunch, Diana met up with Principal Silverman again, who was standing near the main office with a clipboard in hand and a warm, knowing smile on his face.
“Ah, Diana! How's your first day shaping up?” he asked, tucking the clipboard under his arm.
“It’s… actually going better than I thought, Principal Silverman,” she admitted, shifting her backpack onto one shoulder. “I found old friends and somehow survived the meeting with Mr. Black from AP Bio without fainting.”
“Excellent!” Principal Silverman chuckled. “I’m hearing quite a few positive things about you already—Ms. Tran in the Chemistry Department mentioned you were the only one who attempted that extra credit question on the syllabus quiz.”
Diana grinned, surprised. “I just really like learning.”
“Which is why I wanted to talk to you,” he continued. “There’s a special opportunity I think you’d be perfect for. It’s not a club, not exactly—but more of an initiative we run here called The Grove Scholars.”
Diana tilted her head.
