After doing a lot of character studies of late I figured it was time to challenge myself again:
A complex 3D scene that would also require a fair amount of postwork, because why not?
And because it's almost autumn and I love being out in the woods I decided to create an autumny forest with a slight fantastical touch.
This scene - forest, characters and animals -has been completely set up and lighted in Carrara and has then been imported to Photoshop for several long sessions of postwork. I'd say the 3D/postwork ratio is approx. 80/20 but I feel the 20% really improve the piece overall.
I bet there's lots that can still be improved but all in all, it comes very close to what I had in mind and I hope you'll like it as well! ~~~~~
