This is a promo artwork I did for a new background pack of mine, "Versatile Scenery" www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/ve… .
The forest is one of the backgrounds from the pack, and I rendered the figures separately in Carrara and blended all of it together in Photoshop later. That was a fun exercise, and I'm still not getting tired of mentioning what great things you can do with Carrara when it comes to lighting a scene.
I hope you guys are all doing well, and I promise I'll catch up with you soon!

The lush greenery is beautiful and I really wish I was there. Possibly I would move her hand, the left one from the viewers point of view, a little. Right now it seems lost. It looks like it's grabbing for something that isn't there and it's in the wrong position to simply rest on her leg.
Your attention to detail is wonderful and I love the little dragon companion. There is a nice mixture of summer and autumn colours making me think of a late summer day. The woman's red hair contrasts well with the background. She stands out, yet is a part of it all.
Thanks a lot for your comment, hon - I always appreciate your feedback, and I'm glad you like most parts of this work!
How are you doing? I know I've made myself rare in the past months, but I'm doing my best to change that. I hope all is well on your side?
Me and my boyfriend are surviving. Ireland has endured floods and storms most of this winter, not as bad as UK but bad enough. It's getting a bit tiring. A huge branch fell on our car when it was parked and repairs are needed. Hopefully it will be ok though since whilst we have talked about getting a newer car it is a big investment. Sigh. Otherwise life is ticking along a bit on the boring side. My company might move and it remains to be seen if I can move with them. On a lighter note I'm currently working on a picture involving a certain ranger. It's a gift for another of his 'girls'. I'm at the hating it stage so we will see what comes of it.
I hope your business is thriving and that you are enjoying it. Glad to see you around though and I will hold you to that promise. We're missing your art around here.
Thanks - I'm glad you think so!
I hope all is well on your side? And that you'll post more art for us soon?
P.S. Viewing what other backgrounds you've done, I've noticed the one that looks like an upgraded version of the one you used for an artwork with Liliana.
Hehe, you have a sharp eye. I liked that spring meadow, so I created a slightly different version for the pack.
But thanks a lot for your comment - glad you like this one, too!
I can't simply befriend that dumb DazStudio - no matter how many nice features they prop inside.
I have to admit I never even tried to befriend DazStudio, even though the basic version is for free - Carrara can do all I need, after all, and I can work with it really well.
But yeah, Carrara deserves some love. The moment it can handle dynamic clothing, I'll be in heaven!
Thanks a lot - I'm glad you like the POV and sense of depth!
But what's new on your side? I hope you're doing well and work on nice new projects for all of us to enjoy?
