Well then, I was inactive for quite a while, wasn't I?
So sorry for not uploading anything, I've been having some sort of an art block for the past half of the year and I wasn't drawing particularly anything during that time. Not sure if I'll be back now tho.

Anyway, this Sheik drawing's lineart was done around a year ago, I just yesterday coloured it and decided to upload 'cuz why not. Hope you like it c:

I'm really digging the expression and strong emotion that this drawing emits. The relaxed pose that Sheik has a very refined and regal feel to it even.... royal? :iconhurrplz: But I digress, if you don't mind I do have one critique, your shading in this piece feels very weak overall. In by saying "shading" I actually mean VALUES, and I don't mean family values. In short, your shadows just aren't dark enough. I understand all too well that putting heavy dark shadows in a piece is scary, because what if you put too many in and you ruin it? What if you totally block out the entire thing? Trust me, from what I've seen you have a very good grasp on where shadows should and shouldn't be, so don't be afraid to explore a little. There's no such thing as mistakes in the world of art, just happy accidents!

Also, just a quick side note to help you with getting those super cool dark shadows without having to use...BLACK :iconscreamingplz:!!! If you didn't already know, on the color wheel certain colors are diagonal from each other, these are called Compliments. I'll use blue as an example since it's part of Sheik's clothing. The Compliment to blue is orange, thus, if you put blue and orange next to each other they will seem extra vibrant. Yet, if you mix blue and orange TOGETHER (depending on which color you make more prominent, in this case blue) it will make a lovely dark shade of blue, darker than that Midnight Blue pencil of yours. The same goes with Red and Green, and Yellow and Purple (that's a weird one, I know). Skin and whatnot is a whole different subject, but you seem to have a pretty good grasp on that already. If you've gotten this far, I thank thee :iconbowplz:, and hope that this advice will have helped you in some way.

Can't wait to see more from you!

Until next time, Space Cowboy!

Woah, thank you for such a long comment! Since I don't really have much experience in coloring and shading, every piece of advice is welcomed, and yours is really helpful. I actually didn't think of using compliments for shading and from what I can see now it really gives an effect I was searching for. Thank you for your advice c:

Agreed. Though I also really like Roy, he's fun to play XD I need to finally buy him in ssb4

True. I like Corrin though.

Yep, Corrin is also great. Although I play Ike mostly, he's best for me. His combos best suit me.
