Description

Incident occurred shortly before 4pm in the afternoon, about a week back. I didn't see the incident first hand, but I heard the collision from my house window. The collision involved a Toyota MR-S and a Honda Stream.

I was only able to go downstairs at around 5pm, and by then, the Civil Defence (rescue) people were already gone.

Gosh... reminds me of a horrible crash I was involved in. It occured in November 2005; my mom was driving with my two siblings and then me, and she accidentally drove so that the two right-side wheels came outside the highway - in the mud/grass. The car started to slide, and my mom had trouble stabilizing it. It kept sliding for a while, allover the lanes so people had to brake really really hard to avoid crashing into us and making it even worse.

Then my mom lost complete control and ended up in the middle strip, with a loud crash into some sort of plastic wall (it broke into tiny little pieces) and then we flipped and ended up upside-down right there in the middle strip. The car was completely crushed.

I crawled out together with my siblings. My mom eventually got out too. Luckily a civil doctor and a couple more people had stopped when they saw the crash, and helped us getting to the nearest hospital for treatment.

I sustained minimal damage to the back of my head and my neck, while my siblings survived without getting hurt. My mother, however, was hurt really bad in her back - she had a fracture in there and had to stay on the hospital for several weeks. I got out of the hospital within 6 hours, being partly lame.

I was then told that the accident had created mile-long queues at the highway, and when I was moved into an ambulance there were all kinds of people around me. People from the fire brigade, policemen and others.

It's a terrible memory, and I'm still a little afraid of riding the car, but don't worry, you haven't caused any depression or anything. :P Beautiful and high-quality shot you got there.
