Someone shared this essay about fan fiction and its history. I suggest reading it; "fan" fiction has been around a lot longer than most people think (spoiler: since the dawn of storytelling).
And finally, I'm working on a new categorization system for the fan fiction gallery. I would like to propose it to moonbeam13 in the next couple weeks. Some of my ideas will borrow from the much-more-developed Literature category, such as having a new subcategory for poetry, and subcategories to differentiate between chapters and one-shots. Now's your opportunity to suggest/request ideas for our gallery. What would you like to see?
