BODY ARTWelcome to another installment of my weekly gallery features. This week we dive into Body Art. Before we continue, I must warn that some images may contain mild nudity (nipples at most). Also, please keep an open mind and remain respectful.

:iconDJINSALON: Anything that involves artistic expression and/or manipulation of the human body.

:iconDJINSALON: Hair Coloring, Hair Styling, Make Up Artistry, Body Painting, and Photography.

:iconDJINSALON: I met and befriended a very well known local model named Evan Stacy and she arranged my first photo shoot. I was only planning to do one shoot for images to use on my new salon website but it quickly became the creative outlet I needed in my life.

:iconsweetgreychaos:  I'm in an odd niche of something that's more elaborate than traditional 'face painting', and not quite as extensive as body painting. It's almost always done on myself, and it usually is limited to the head/neck/shoulders, though occasionally I'm stupid enough to paint on my own back. :iconbeautyinflesh: My definition of Body Art is pretty basic and straightforward; pretty much anything done to decorate the body, from painted nails and make up to tattoos and piercings.

:iconscreenname911: Body Art is anything you decorate your body with. I take this as tattoos, special effects, costume makeup, nail art, etc. It is such a wide field full of so many beautiful styles and mediums.

:iconscreenname911: I mostly do eye makeup and lip art, but sometimes I branch out and try new things.

:iconamanda04: Pretty much drawing on the body/nails..Nail art, makeup, tattoos, hand art, all that kind of stuff.

:iconamanda04: Nail art, I've started getting into lip art as well, but mostly nail art.

:iconamanda04: I've always loved painting my nails and I am an artist, so I ust combined the two (I also took a nail technician course and came 1st in class)

:iconbodypaintingbycatdot: Well it is NOT 3 triangles painted on a naked girl or paint dribbled/ handprinted on breasts - but that seems to be what 90% of it is on some sites (not so much on here, though, thank gods). Thats just guys trying to pretend they have a reason to ogle.

Body Art to me is:
Something created on a body (using cosmetic products) that looks fun/ amazing/ interesting/ provoking/ beautiful. And it is NOT porn if a nude model is well-painted. I love it when people don't notice the nudity aspect due to the art.

:iconnickdangelotattoos: Body Art (Tattoos) is exactly what it sounds like, a way to permanently decorate your body with amazing and meaningful images and fine art.

:iconnickdangelotattoos: When it comes down to it i can do all styles of art on skin. Personally i prefer realism which is like printing a photograph onto someones skin.

:iconjosephinejonesmua: Body art to me is when someone feels a need to express creativity with their body. Whether it's posing with your body, photographing the body, tattoos, modifications, make-up or body paint, it's all a form of self expression that creates Art.

When I was 17 My father moved the family to WV and I was still trying to tattoo illegally. :icontheworldislove: So, I guess Body Art to me means just about anything. I know that most people tend to think of body art as being tattoos (or in my case, nail art) and other artsy things of the sort, I see body art as just being.. Art. I have friends that will draw on their arms and legs with pens and sharpies (I'm guilty of this as well), and that to me is definitely body art. It really can be anything having to do with your body that's artsy and creative, and even things that aren't that creative.
