something God left out by jyoujo something God left out by jyoujo

once i've read :

when you see something you love , admire ,
copy it . Copy, copy ,c o p y  .
and in the very end you will find your true self .

i don't usually break things down because , people should
always have their own interpretation . But only in this exception
i will share my own .

- see , everything we love , admire , all those things define us .
when it is real . it became true . it becomes more and more ,
a true reflection of ourselves . Now in my life i see better ,
i see how many things defined me as i was going along the way .
in this adventure , life as it is . it is all shared in here .

h e r e

i hope it served you well .

"I lie on the floor, washed away by nothing and hanging on.

'I am afraid' of hearing voices, or a voice ..."

It was never clear what would come next

But that's the risk and that's the test

And you were the only one so far to follow

A thousand lonely lifetimes, I still wait and then go on

A clown to entertain a fellow follower .

that's a really interesting thought, I actually never realized that we tend to "copy" the things we admire
I guess it's our own way of building a better version of ourselves

lovely shot, by the way!

love it!

and yes, through the things we love we get to know our selves know...as long as loving doesn't become harmful.

'You take what you like
stitch it, like squares in a quilt
to form a new life

Though the pattern is borrowed,
what you've made is all your own'

You make me think of that old saying 'never meet your heroes'. I can't agree with it; if you dislike your heroes upon meeting them, you've picked the wrong ones. The things that we choose to admire should reflect what we aspire to, what we value in ourselves.
When you talk about 'copying things' in order to 'find your true self', I think of my own transition from imitating my heroes, to using them as influences in my own creativity. I can almost pinpoint where in my career that shift happened; it was sudden, not gradual, and the presence of those influences is still becoming more subtle, more abstract, as my work comes to better reflect myself.
As they say, you can stand on the shoulders of giants; but your view at the top will be different from theirs ;)
