Stella Masters felt herself start to perspire a bit as she wheeled her way into the bar alongside her friend and billionaire philanthropist, Téa Rodden. It was actually a rather nice-looking bar, known as the Bounce Pad. Unknown to most outside of the superhero community, it was owned by a former hero named Billy Bounce. As such, it had recently become a place for heroes to meet up for drinks.
Looking down, she fidgeted slightly with the dress that Téa had insisted she wear. She wasn't used to wearing fancy dresses at all. Then again, she wasn't used to going on dates much lately, either. And Téa's reasoning was hard to argue with: She didn't want Stella to look less-than-stellar next to her, who WAS going to be wearing a dress, when their dates arrived. Still, it was a bit of an adjustment for her.
"I dunno how I let you talk me into this," Stella admitted as she pushed herself in her wheelchair up to the counter.
"You said you wanted to try getting back on the dating scene," Téa

Rose Murray wondered what exactly she was doing as she opened her closet, pulling her clothes aside to reveal a hidden compartment within. Even though she did this nearly once a year for the past 61 years, she wondered every time, more-so with each passing year. Most who knew her and her secrets knew of her love of telling stories of her life and adventures, but there was one tale she didn't even like going over by herself. Still, she did this every year, and this would be no different. It was a ritual of hers, one that she felt the need to go through, no matter how painful it could be for her.
And so, having opened the compartment hidden away in her closet, Rose looked upon the glass case that contained two suits within. One was largely blue and red, and came with a number of gadgets and weapons, even a titanium sleeve that she'd wear with it. Her costume when she served as the second Nightfall. And hanging next to it was a black and
So, there we were: Me, my girlfriend in her sailor fuku, and a telepathic goth, waiting in the woods near a high-tech facility used to house and experiment on Superhumans. Just the three of us against a building full of scientists with who knew what kind of defenses and weaponry, and at least four REALLY powerful Superhumans that had been bent to their will. Not exactly the best odds. But then, I guess it wasn't EXACTLY like we were going in without back-up. We DID have help...sort of.
"Hey, so, just remember to keep the action AWAY from the buses, okay?" Scotty reminded us over the comm from where he and my dad were waiting a few yards away in a pair of school buses. "I mean, since we're rescuing hostages with these, I don't think anyone will mind us borrowing them, but if we bring them back full of holes and stuff, I'm pretty sure we'll all wind up in jail. And that would be difficult to explain to my parents."
I rolled my eyes, letting out a quiet giggle. "I'll make sure we're

South End Redtail, Oklahoma
Thomas Rollins let out an appreciative sigh as he rested atop the roof of a small, neighbourhood deli. He’d nearly finished his last patrol of the night, and no one was causing any trouble that would require the Crimson Quiver to leap into action. It was looking like he could turn in for the night.
Why am I even doing this? CQ thought, resting his head back as he knelt down by the ledge. I didn’t come here to do more vigilante work, I came here for a well-paying REGULAR job. Why am I still playing dress-up and beating up bad guys?
In truth, though, Thomas knew exactly why. Within two weeks of moving to Redtail, he’d found that his new town was every bit as swamped in crime as his old one. The biggest difference, though? No caped and costumed superheroes saving the day. Finally, one day, he just couldn’t take it anymore, becoming Crimson Quiver again to protect his new home.
Unfortunately, working as a solo hero with no

Uptown St. Jonas
Atop the tallest building in all of St. Jonas, the Green Defender looked down upon the city, waiting for the call to action. Not only was he watching for any sort of incident that might break out, he had an earpiece on, set to the police radio, waiting for any sort of crime to occur. It was a common practice of his, all the while ensuring that he was mentally prepared for anything that might happen, no matter how random.
“...So, you really DO brood on rooftops,” a voice observed.
Spinning around with a handful of feather darts in his hand, GD found himself facing not a foe, but a new friend. In fact, it was a friend he’d JUST met the previous night: Sonya Strider, the Ballistic Blossom. Someone who he’d found himself drunkenly spilling his guts out to about his recent turmoil and troubles. Someone who had sought to aid him with his problems. Someone who he had had a drunken one-night-stand with.
“Blossom,” the Jade Thunderbird sighed

So after about 24 hours of glitches and missed communications, I am happy to say that everything should be up and running now!
Again, this comic means so very much to me, especially from all of your support and love over the years. The bad start to this made me really depressed because I don't like letting any of you down, so thank you so much for being understanding and patient.
So please enjoy! I have over 4,700 of you Watching me so please consider dropping $5 in the hat for the comic so that even more can continue going forward! We have so many future issues planned out! My dream has always been to see SSW as a serial comic and it finally feels like it is coming true!
We haven't even gotten to Ilsa Hauppman yet...
Big thanks to @growgetter for the fix BTW! He's a fantastic guy with a fantastic site!
Also as a note, as someone mentioned, the title is Super Soviet Woman on purpose; I and my associates have no desire to come down on
Oohhhkay, I hope I’m ready for this...
Hi, everybody! I’m Djinni, the most awesome (and only) superheroine in the vicinity of lovely El Milagro, California! So far you folks have gotten a little glimpse into my adventures but, as Tony (CaptTNelson to you guys) has wandered back into the 1940s for a bit, it might be a stretch before we return to the next issue of my comic Wishful Thinking. Bummer!
In the meantime, just so you don’t forget all about me, I thought I’d open the floor to all of my friends and fans here on D.A.! Yep, it’s my first ever AMA!
Wanna know about my powers? My villains? My backstory? My weaknesses? My crushes? My, uh, measurements? Who I could take in a fight? Which is my favorite Bronte sister? Who I voted for in the last presidential election? How much money it’d take for me to pose for Superbabes magazine? My take on all the latest superheroine tea? My opinions on pineapple on pizza? You can get as raw as you like (I can always choose to deflect if I’m too
Sooo, like I said in a status post last night, I recently had a falling out with a VERY old contact of mine. Someone I've known for many, many years. She was also the primary motivation behind one of my characters, Archarcher. Because I want nothing more to do with this person, I've decided to delete the original image of the character, and remake her.
Just as a reminder, the idea behind the character is that she came into the possession of a bow wielded by an archangel. As a result, she became imbued with the archangel's power, and became an agent of God on Earth. Her role is to protect the innocent from the wicked, and spread the message of love across the world. She also will be joining heroines like Strix and Cybertaur on Ragnawatch.
Here's where I ask you guys for some assistance, though. After looking up designs for Christian archangels and deciding on her new outfit, I actually made up several different skin, hair, and eye colours for the character, to basically make her no
...So earlier today, I told off and blocked an ex of mine who I've known and stayed in contact with for over 15 years for her hateful, transphobic, homophobic, abusive, and generally awful way of thinking. To answer your next question, yes she's an
Welp, y'all made clear who you wanted to see have an AMA, so now, here we are. You now have until this time next week to post your questions for Brickhouse (limit one per person), and after the week is over, I'll post her in-character responses. :D
And just so you don't accidentally ask something that there's already an answer to in her bio, here it is. :)
