WELCOME TO THE HAMPTON CLASSIC HORSE SHOW!

2. One rider may enter with multiple horses in a single class. The limit however is 3 for the show jumping events, and 3 for the hunters. A horse can only appear in multiple classes if they are hunters. Hunters may appear in the standard classes, the hunt team, leadline and hunter conformation.
3. No extra images are required, however they will gain extra points (more information below.
4. Any/all equine breeds are welcome.
5. Pre-Registration is required. A class number must be shown on back of rider/saddle pad.
6. Tracing is allowed, given that the original stock is credited. All entries must be at least 3/4 body with an at least partially hand-drawn background. (Will give leeway for textures and whatnot).
7. As a general feel for the property know almost all of our arenas will be turf (unless otherwise stated) and the grounds map can be found here. And an aerial image of the show grounds.
8. Horse leasing is permitted for the event! Feel free to note me if interested.

Day One: a little crisp in the morning, there is still dew on the grass, even some frost in some areas from the cool night. Warming up to be the hottest day of the event, there will be ice water and ice pops for horses and competitors alike.
Day Two: a foggy morning, letting up throughout the day. The day will be overcast with a slight chance of showers progressing into the evening. (It will being to drizzle about 7pm).
Day Three: Heavy rain in the morning, leadline class moved to dirt arena in the afternoon. Rain will stop approximately 2pm. The Grand Prix class will be riddled with delay and go-rounds in bursts as to combat a lightening storm which moves in at 5pm.

EVENT INFORMATION:
The Hampton Classic is one of the largest outdoor equestrian events in America. Located at the east tip of the beautiful Long Island, New York, this event attracts celebrities and locals alike. It isn't uncommon to see McClay hopefuls riding here as well.EVENT RULES:

SHOW JUMPING
Show jumpers can wear any tack the horse is comfortable in. Mane can be braided or loose, as with the tail. Leg protection is a must. Helmets and appropriate rider attire is required.
NOVICE/BABY JUMPERS: taking place in the dirt Hunter Ring II. 8am-10am. Day 1.
Fence heights: 18 inches to 2 feet. (will include cross rails).
No prior experience necessary. Horses of all ages welcome, no severe bits.
AMATEUR JUMPERS: taking place in the Anne Aprinall Ring. 12pm - 4pm. Day 1.
Fence heights: 1m - 1.2m
Horses must have at least 1 show image or 2 training images.
GRAND PRIX JUMPERS: taking place in the Grand Prix Arena. 4pm-9pm. Day 3.
Fence heights: 1.4m - 1.6m
Horses must have at least 3 show images or 5 training images.

HUNTERS
Horses shall be shown in a proper flat/raised noseband, with an appropriate bit (snaffle, kimberwick, pelham). Manes should have the proper hunter braid (no buttons), and a proper braided tail.
HUNTER CONFORMATION: taking place in the Anne Aspinall Ring. 8am-10am. Day 2.
Horses are to be shown in-hand on the ground. Proper turnout is required. Horses ages 3 and up are permitted and no prior experience is necessary.
BABY GREEN HUNTERS: taking place in the Anne Aspinall Ring. 8am-10am. Day 3.
Horses are to be shown over fences of the heights ranging: 1 foot to 2 feet.
No prior experience is necessary.
HUNTER LEADLINE: taking place in Hunter Ring II. 12pm-4pm. Day 3.
A leadline class for children. Horses and ponies alike are welcome. Girls should have ribbons in their hair, children who cannot wear tall boots must have on paddock shoes and garters.
No experience necessary.
GREEN HUNTERS: taking place in the Anne Aspinall Ring. 12pm - 4pm. Day 2.
Horses are to be shown over fences of the heights ranging 2'6" to 3".
Horses must have at least 1 show image or 2 training images.
HUNT TEAMS: taking place in Hunter Ring II. 6pm - 9pm. Day 1.
In this event, a team of three horses will navigate the hunter course. This is considered a field hunt/working hunter class. Presentation is a must, themes are okay within the groups (ie: all bays, all greys, all riders wearing red coats, all horses having blue saddle pads). View an example here.
No prior experience is necessary for this event. Please submit with music for your go-round. Collabs are welcome for this event.

A 3' 6" class primarily. There will be a variety of natural obsticals for the horse including but not limited to: inclines, dips, water elements and more.
Horses must have at least 3 show images or 5 training images.
HUNTER CONFORMATION: taking place in the Anne Aspinall Ring. 8am-10am. Day 2.
