Moon Globe Wine~ Merlot Redesign

Have another redesign piece that I started, completely forgot about, and then finished in a ludicrously short amount of time—this time featuring my mom cheering me on. She says she loves it.

Anyhow, have another redesign, this time for the awesome IjustWanttoGettheArt’s Merlot! Merlot’s simultaneously both one of the most stable dragons in the Amethyst Talon (low bar, but it’s still there) and one of the least. Either way, she deserves nice things, so I was so excited when Icy approached me about redesigning her! 

Merlot is already a sure hybrid from appearance, so I decided to exaggerate it even more with my design. She gained that trademark Icewing mane and a bunch of bludgeoning spikes on the end of her prehensile tail. Of course, she’s Rainwing dominant, so she’s got some lovely fangs and frills.

She didn’t have many accessories to play around with, but I decided to include her love of reading by having her hold a book in her tail! Am I now highly jealous of this power? Yes. But Merlot’s having a good time reading under a Moon Globe Tree, and I can be happy for her.

Wait a second. The tree and the globes themselves act somewhat like regular plants. Could you make wine out of them? How would that taste? How am I even more jealous and wanting to become a dragon than before?
