I'd Rather Sleep ~ PPAU SS Animation Meme

After completely failing at trying to complete this quickly and putting 40 hours plus editing into it (much more than Jealous took), I finally present my PPAU Secret Santa:

I’d Rather Sleep.

I’m incredibly proud of this overambitious gift for Fyre-Blaze, as you may be able to tell. Though I probably shouldn’t have approached such a project on such a limited time frame, I completed it anyway, and my skill grew because of it.

For those not familiar with PPAU: this meme follows the Silkwing princess Fritillary as she grapples with some questionable earlier decision-making. Fritillary decided to participate in a raid on Tsete Hive as revenge on the Hivewings. She had reasoned that her duty was to her people, even if she disagreed with it, and that it was a non-violent attack anyways.

She was wrong.

The raid turned into a bloodbath, and Fritillary soon had to reckon with the fact that her actions supported a slaughter, and it was likely her mother, Queen Esmerelda, was to blame for nearly pushing the continent to war.

Remember that this is all Fyre’s story, and she writes it beautifully. When I saw who my Secret Santa was, I knew I had to honour this fantastic story that’s still unfolding. Although we haven’t interacted much, I adore how nuanced you make your characters, Fyre. Though I still haven’t forgiven you for turning the fun beach friendship into an emotional bloodbath /lh.
