   Short Tale: Spotted Retreat

   Nana Flowers knocked on the archway, leaning against it as she poked into the room. “Ah, found you, Seelie! No cookes for you, unfortunately.”

   Sat on the floor in plain sight, Seelie blinked before huffing, shaking their head with a smile. “Alas, I’ll have to live without,” they sighed, leaning backwards. The pillows behind them squeaked.

   Nana’s ears pricked, and she smiled, leaning closer to the cream kit. “Why, Seelie, you wouldn’t have happened to see any other hiders around here, have you?”

   Seelie blinked, cocking their head to the side with a hum. Behind them, a disembodied finned tail tip twitched. Something shuffled against fabric, grumbling, as something else giggled. 

  “SHSSSSSSSSSSSS!” Hissed nobody. “SHE’LL SPOT US.”

   This was again followed by more grumbling and giggling.

   Seelie’s claws tapped against their chin, before they shrugged. “I can’t say that I have, Ms. Flowers. ‘Can’t say I have.”

   We love Seelie supporting antics in this Village. We also love Nana supporting antics in this Den.

   We’re on the road to Seelie’s grow-up! I’m hoping to get it done within either this month or the next, since I want them grown-up for the Wyld Hunt. But that doesn’t mean they can’t have some cute moments before we go murder mode. Seelie’s my baby through and through, and while I’m sad to end an era (and get rid of their cool phylakardia pattern), hey– big spoon is fun.
