And welcome back to Artfight! We’re opening this season up with me travelling, but I managed not to get motion sick on the train and finished up our first attack– a revenge, too, since Azure’s a speed demon.
Meet Vesper, a character I’ve actually had the pleasure of playing alongside in a D&D campaign! Vesper is our team’s air genasi monk, with a penchant for running up and punching things first and asking questions later. This has caused a couple of downs on their end.
This piece is a bit of an homage to a specific scene from the campaign. Like all good D&D characters, Vesper has a healthy dose of amnesia, unable to remember much, if anything, about their past. The only hints they’ve had towards it have come from a magical bracelet they Totally Didn’t Steal before it latched onto their wrist and refused to come off. It shows them cryptic flashbacks, helping them piece stuff together.
Like how they may have been part of a world-ending cult and helped raid a dragon aviary to steal the eggs for nefarious purposes. And also that they’re on maybe probation from god– something they learn right before an angel comes to beat the snot out of them to “test their resolve.”
It’s a great campaign.
